Patrick insists to Maxie that it is not her fault that Robin died. Maxie believes that he should hate her, but he can't go on thinking about what he lost. Maxie's arraignment gets underway and she pleads guilty on all charges. Spinelli goes to Jason's worried about Maxie. Jason attempts to explain Maxie's grief to Spinelli, because he feels responsible for Robin's death as well. Jason thinks that Spinelli should find Lisa's real killer and that way Maxie will be cleared of the charges. Starr wakes up having slept on Michael's couch. Michael ends up comforting her as she talks about her daughter. Starr tells him about Cole having been in prison for killing somebody. As they are talking, Jason shows up at Michael's door. John goes to see Anna at her hotel room where it is revealed that they know one another from his time working in the FBI. John wants Anna's help with Sonny Corinthos. Anna ends up warning him that he can't live his life for revenge. John says that if Sonny is responsible for Cole and Hope's deaths he will make him pay. Anna ponders if it will be over then but John replies that it will never be over after Sonny took away from him his sister. Following Sam's call, Steve tells Olivia that his mother is in a mental institution and goes into the history of her selling him on the black market and then attempting to drug his adoptive mother. Sam meets with Heather at the mental institution and asks her to to tell her more about the day Jason was born. Heather wants to be reunited with her son for the information. Sam shows Heather a picture of Jason and wonders why Franco is involved. Heather tells her that the baby in the picture isn't Jason.

Heather informs Sam that the baby in the picture is Susan's, but it's not Jason. Sam learns that Susan gave birth to twins, but was passed out and didn’t know she had more than one baby. The nurse had wanted one of the babies for herself and Heather helped make it a reality. She continues that the babies were fraternal twins and she chose the better looking of the two for Susan. Sam learns that the nurse was called Betsy Frank. Sam says that she is Franco's mother. Sam ends up leaving without taking the letter Heather has written for Steven. Sam becomes upset as she realizes that the baby she is carrying could still be Franco's. Luke warns Carly about the dangers of sleeping with Johnny. Johnny shows up and after Luke leaves, Carly tells him that Luke thinks he is using her to get back at Sonny. Olivia meets up with Sonny at the Metro Court restaurant and asks him for help with dealing with Johnny as he is blackmailing Steve. After Johnny and Carly enter the restaurant, Johnny taunts both Olivia and Sonny. Sonny ends up taunting Carly about how Michael will react when he finds out that she is seeing Johnny. Johnny demands that Steve gives him the list he asked for and Steve reluctantly hands it over. Kate meets with Ewen at the hospital. She is still concerned about Connie and asks him to hypnotize her to find out what she is planning. Connie emerges after Ewen puts her under again and he questions her about the gun in Kate's office. When Connie becomes upset she runs out of the room and bumps into Steve. Steve is surprised after Connie makes a move on him. Ewen comes out and takes Connie back in the room. Olivia shows up and Steve informs her about Kate hitting on him. Starr is forced to hide after Jason shows up. She listens in as Jason and Michael talk about Sonny and the accident. When Sonny shows up, he warns Michael once again to stay away from Starr. John tells Anna that he is determined to see Sonny pay for all of his crimes. When Luke shows up learns that McBain was in the FBI and has read his files regarding Frank Smith. John and Anna talk more about Sonny in the hallway before he leaves. Luke quizzes Anna about John after she returns to the room. John ends up running into Kate and questions her about the case. She ends up becoming agitated and tells him that she can't help him.

Kate reads a book about Llanview's Viki/Niki and Jess/Tess at Crimson. She ends up becoming really worried and decides that she has to get rid of Connie for good. She hides the book after Jason shows up wanting her help in proving the gun found in her office doesn't belong to Sonny. Connie ends up regaining control and has a go at Jason, who is confused about what is going on. Steve and Olivia eat at the Metro Court and he receives a call from his mother. Steve fells wary after she tells him that she needs to see him. Anna and John meet up at the Metro Court bar and he shows her a restraining order from Sonny. He also tells Anna that he believes that Kate is hiding something about Sonny's case. Olivia ends up interrupting them and gives Anna a letter which allows Anna to give John free rein on the case. Anna quizzes Olivia about Kate after John leaves. Steve goes to see his mother who is pleased to see him but he remains reserved wondering what she really wants. Steve learns that he can help get her freed as she has been declared sane. Steve say that can't help her. After agreeing to read the letter she wrote, Steve ends up agreeing to be responsible for her because he knows people do things they later regret. Sam thinks back to her conversation with Heather about Susan having twins. Sam wonders how she is going to break the news to Jason. Sonny meets with Alexis at her house to talk about his trial. Sonny doesn't want Alexis passing suspicion onto Kate that the gun could belong to her. Sonny leaves as Sam shows up to see her mother but Alexis gets called away. Sam starts to cry as she thinks about Franco possibly being the father of her unborn child. John shows up to see Alexis and asks Sam if anything is wrong after he notices she looks upset. Sam wants John to leave but he refuses. Delores has a fight with Eddie on the phone and then joins a suspicious Dante and Lulu in the squad room. Shawn shows up with a stripper friend who has been attacked. Dante and Delores ask her questions and she shows Dante a badge from the Port Charles history museum that she managed to rip off the man. Dante later confronts Delores about Eddie, who has been doing some construction work at the history museum. Spinelli tells Lullu that he needs Maxie's file. Lulu later suggests to Dante that she goes undercover as a stripper to catch the stalker.

Jason and Spinelli talk abouts Sonny's trial at the penthouse. Jason ends up telling Spinelli about how weird Kate was acting as he questioned her. Matt is surprised to see his brother at the hospital. Patrick informs him that he needs to get back into some sort of routine. Matt gives Patrick an update on Maxie. Patrick ends up urging him to do everything he can to help her because he doesn't’t know how much time he'll have with her after Matt admits that he still loves her. After a patient asks Patrick about Robin, he leaves to take Emma home. Spinelli wants Matt to join forces with him to try and save Maxie. Dante informs his wife that she doesn’t need to become a stripper to catch the attacker and that it is not her job to try and catch him anyway. Lulu arranges an audition at Vaughn's after not listening to Dante. Dante refuses to allow her to go to the audition. Sonny goes to Kate's office while she is still Connie. Connie pretends to be Kate and and tells him that Jason was acting threatening towards her. Connie tries to make him really doubt Jason. Sonny goes to see Jason to hear his version of events that happened between him and Kate. Ewen and Elizabeth eat together at the Metro Court where they talk about him saving her. When Elizabeth mentions that Jax was Australian as well, It causes a reaction from Ewen. After Elizabeth leaves for a few minutes, Connie approaches Ewen. Sam wants John to leave because he is investigating her husband. John tells her that he's investigating Sonny and not Jason. Sam ends up confiding in him about Franco and how his game with Jason isn't finished. She ends up revealing that Franco is Jason's brother and begs John not to tell anyone. Sam ends up telling him what happened in Hawaii after John doesn't understand why she is still concerned about Franco. John comforts her as she cries, worried that she could be carrying Franco's baby.

Sam is surprised to see Heather at the hospital. Heather tells her about how she managed to get released from Ferncliff and then reminds Sam that she backed out of their agreement. Heather ends up realizing that Sam hasn't told Jason that he had a twin brother and wonders the reason why. After sees the papers for Sam's DNA test, she ends up taunting her about sleeping with Franco. When Heather threatens to tell Jason about his brother, Sam threatens to tell Steve that she sold yet another baby and they make an agreement to keep each others secrets. Carly and Johnny end up going back to Carly's place after becoming fed up with the trial. Johnny ends up reading a book to Josslyn. Spinelli stops Jason before he goes into the courtroom and wonders if he has told Sonny about Kate yet. After Kate says her name is Connie Falconeri, it's still Kate testifying. The prosecutor makes her admit she and Sonny had sex in her office the day the gun was discovered in her office. Jason enters the room as Anthony is about to testify. Anthony says what he remembers about the accident and declares that he saw Sonny driving behind him and shoot out his tires. Alexis manages to make his testimony look doubtful by proving he can't even read her writing on a piece of paper a few feet from him. Alexis informs the judge that she is calling no witnesses. Closing comments are made as Jason watches Kate. Matt goes to see Maxie in jail and is unsuccessful in his efforts to get through to her. After Spinelli shows up he listens in as Matt tells Maxie that he loves her. As it looks like Maxie is about to admit the truth to Matt, Spinelli comes crashing into the room. Maxie tells them both to leave before Matt can get her to be honest with him. Tracy's not happy about seeing Luke with Anna at Kelly's. Tracy learns from them that Heather is back in town. Luke wants Tracy to tell him what hold Anthony has over her. Tracy admits the truth to Luke after Anna leaves them on their own. After Anthony shows up he takes Tracy away with him.

John discovers Starr on the pier and they talk about Sonny's trial. John attempts to convince Starr to move on with her life once the trial is over. Starr wonders why John is still in Port Charles. After Starr leaves, John gets out a newspaper article about his sister's death which features Sonny's picture. Sonny shows up at Michael's place and confronts him about his involvement with Starr. After Sonny leaves, Starr returns and talks to him about her conversation with John. Michael tells her about Sonny's visit and Starr is convinced that John and Sonny share some sort of past. Kate opens Sonny's door to Jason after talking to Ewen on the phone. When she hears Connie's voice, she tells him that this isn't a good time. Jason follows her into the main room wanting to know who hid the gun in her office. Jason is left feeling very confused about the way Kate behaves. When Sonny returns home, Jason tells him about the way Kate was behaving. Sonny ends up defending Kate. Steve and Olivia take Heather to the hospital to see Ewen. After Heather runs away in tears, she wonders how Steve could do this to her. Steve ends up taking his mother to lunch despite Olivia's concerns. As Olivia is talking Ewen, Kate shows up to see him. Kate tells Ewen that she heard Connie's voice in her head. Kate learns that he has filed papers to have her committed against her will. Kate ends up agreeing but she wants to tell Sonny before she admits herself. Sam calls Kelly about her paternity results. Alexis sits down with her daughter wondering what's going on with her. Sam ends up admitting to her mother that she has confided in John, which surprises Alexis as he is investigating Sonny and Jason. Heather ends up threatening Sam after coming into Kelly's with Steve. Jason shows up after Sam leaves and runs into Heather. Sam takes her test results to the pier where she sees McBain. Ronnie, Lulu and Dante talk about Delores' husband's possible connection to the stripper attacks. Delores comes up and realizes that they think Eddie is a suspect.

Sonny asks Kate about what happened with Jason. Alexis interrupts them with a phone call as they they are talking and informs Sonny that the verdict is in his trial is ready to be delivered. Delores, Dante and Lulu discuss the stripper beatings as the police station as Johnny shows up. Johnny is asked if he recognizes any of the beaten women and he replies that he doesn't. Delores defends Eddie who they think is responsible. When Johnny and Delores are left alone she tells him he better keep his end of the deal. Eddie is brought into the police station in handcuffs. Eddie tells his wife that he didn’t do it and that he never saw those photos before and she believes him. Lulu also has concerns about his guilt. Dante feels like there is a piece missing, something that nobody has seen yet. Michael tells Starr that his father believes that she got close to him to influence his testimony. When Carly shows up, she wonders why Starr is there. Carly and Michael learn that the verdict is in. Heather tells Jason that there is something he needs to know about Sam. Steven informs Jason that Sam went to see Heather but he doesn’t know anything about what happened. Heather tells Jason that on the day of his birth there were complications. Alexis interrupts them to tell Jason that verdict is in. Heather goes into the restaurant with Steve where she tells him how Susan passed out after Jason’s birth. Steve wants to know more but Heather doesn't tell him anything. Everyone gathers at the courthouse where Sonny is found not guilty on all charges and is free to go. An upset Starr remains determined to make Sonny pay. Sonny insists to Carly that Johnny set him up and gives her grief for being with him. Carly ends up asking Johnny if he planted the gun in Kate's office to set Sonny up. Sam tells John that if its Franco’s baby, it will change everything. John comforts Sam after the results reveal the baby is Franco's. Jason calls Sam to tell her about the verdict and she tells him she has to tell him something back at home. Kate and Sonny return home and Sonny wants to know what Kate was going to tell him.

When Michael returns home he finds Starr packing. Michael tries to make Starr see that Sonny could be innocent and he attempts to put doubts in her mind about Johnny. Starr says goodbye to Michael before leaving. Carly and Johnny end up arguing about her accusations and Johnny doesn't think that Carly really trusts him. Johnny attempts to reassure her that he did not plant the gun, or cause the accident especially as he was with her at the time. Johnny and Carly end up kissing. Kate attempts to tell Sonny about the sessions she has been having but he says she doesn't have to. Olivia interrupts them as they are talking and tells Sonny that she needs his help with Steve and Johnny. When Sonny leaves the room to talk to Max, Kate and Kate end up arguing and Connie emerges. Sonny returns to the room and informs Olivia that by this time tomorrow, Johnny will not be a problem anymore. Kate looks in the mirror and sees Connie after going upstairs. She calls Ewen to get her admitted but Connie taunts her and she hangs up. Connie manages to take over completely and Kate is now trapped on the inside. Connie makes plans to get rid of Sonny and Kate is powerless to stop her. Ewen calls and Connie lies to him, promising him that she will be at their meeting tomorrow. Steve shows up at Ewen's office to tell him that Heather will meet with him. As Heather looks through some papers at the hospital she is interrupted by Maggie, who tells her they are confidential. Steve and Ewen have to break them up after they start fighting and Maggie tells Steve that it was more than a misunderstanding as Ewen and Heather leave for her session. Johnny calls Steve to tell him to have what he needs by the end of the day. When Olivia shows up she tells Steve that Johnny won’t be a problem much longer. Jason meets Sam and informs her that he saw Heather. Sam starts to tell to tell him the truth about his birth, revealing the birth of a second baby. She continues that the baby was sold and the woman who bought him was Betsy Frank. Jason is shocked when he realizes that Franco was his brother. Sam also tells him that she has had another paternity test performed and that Franco is the father of her unborn child. Starr shows up at Johnny's door.

Patrick drinks and watches some videos of Robin. Ephiphany shows up and informs him that she has been looking for him and has covered for him with Monica. She ends up realizing that he has been drinking and tells him he can’t live his life like this. Spinelli and Matt attempt to work out how Lisa died at the pier. Spinelli sees something in the file that makes him think he knows who killed her. Spinelli tells Matt he believes the person is Patrick but Matt refuses to believe it. Matt insists that there is no proof. Spnelli assures him they won’t know for sure until they confront him and that he could be suffering with a post-traumatic blackout. John goes to see Anna and she asks him how he feels about Sonny's verdict. Anna tries to offer him some advise. Sonny invites Michael to the party Kate is throwing for his birthday. Michael tells Sonny that Starr has decided to leave town. Michael picks up Starr’s CD and begins to listen it after his father leaves. Johnny tells Starr that Sonny would do anything for power and there is no line he will not cross. Starr ends up making a deal with Johnny. Jason looks at the paternity results and realizes that the child Sam is carrying really isn’t his. Sam asks him if he will still be able to love the child she is carrying and Jason hugs her.

Luke and Anna talk about Maxie's trial and Tracy calls Luke to inform him that she has found a way to deal with Anthony. Luke leaves as Anthony gets ready to eat the meal that Tracy has prepared for him. Luke shows up and stops Anthony from eating the food. After Anthony leaves, Luke thinks that Tracy is crazy for trying to poison him. Tracy gets herself a drink, as Luke attempts to convince her taking Anthony's life is a bad idea. Dante shares his concerns about Lulu with Ronnie at the police station as he has not heard from her. When Dante attempts to text her, Ronnie pulls her phone out of his pocket. Ronnie tells Dante that he believes that Lulu is at the courthouse for Maxie and thinks that he should go there. Ronnie looks at Lulu's phone after he leaves. Matt shows up at his brother's place and finds him on the couch. Matt mentions Maxie's arraignment and informs Patrick that he's working with Spinelli to find the real killer. Matt shares Spinelli's theory with Patrick that he is the really killer but doesn't remember killing Lisa. Patrick is shocked and Matt tells him he knows he is innocent. After Matt leaves, Patrick calls Elizabeth and asks her to look after Emma overnight. Ewen lies unconscious in his office as Spinelli informs Elizabeth just outside that he believes that Matt is Lisa's killer. Spinelli shares his theory with her after she thinks its a crazy conclusion. When Elizabeth enters Ewen's office she sees him on the floor. Mac attempts to convince Maxie to change her plea and tells her that she will always be his little girl even though he isn't her biological father. Anna comforts Mac after he becomes upset. When Dante shows up looking for Lulu, Mac tells him that she isn't here. Alexis reads a letter written to the court on Maxie's behalf and Maxie learns it's from Robin, who wrote it for her reference at Crimson. Spinelli shows up and tells Maxie that he knows Matt killed Lisa. Maxie refuses to allow Spinelli to share his theory with the judge and informs him that she knows Matt killed Lisa because she saw him commit the crime. When Matt shows up at the courthouse, Alexis goes over his testimony with him. Matt has a flashback to being drunk on the boat. Felicia shows up at the courthouse as Mac is telling Anna that Maxie needs her family right now. Dante returns to the police station and calls Luke to find out if he's talked to Lulu recently. Luke inform him that Lulu thinks that Ronnie is involved in the stripper case. Dante confronts Ronnie.

Mac is surprised to see Felicia and wonders what she is doing here. Felicia replies that she is here to support her daughter. Mac doesn't believe that Maxie will want to see her, but Felicia insists that she needs whether she wants to admit it or not. Mac stops Felicia from entering the courtroom. Spinelli attempts to convince Maxie to tell the truth about everything. Maxie stands firm and refuses to say anything and wont allow Spinelli to say anything either. After Spinelli tells her that she loves her, Maxie replies that if he really does then he will keep her secret. Matt shows up and wonders what is going on. Felicia, Mac and Alexis enter the room and Maxie doesn't want to see her mother. Felicia tells her that she's not going anywhere as the bailiff calls the court to session. Spinelli ends up interrupting proceedings. Heather is waiting to see Luke in his hotel room. After Luke asks her to leave, it is revealed that Heather has his gun. Heather tells him that he has to help bring Steve home and if Luke refuses to help her, she will go down there and get him herself. Luke attempts to talk some sense into her and informs her that his daughter is missing and he needs to find her, so she has to give him his gun back. After Heather gives him the gun back, Luke tells her to go back to Steve's apartment and wait for news. Heather promises Luke that she's there for him if he needs her. Luke calls Anna for help after Heather leaves. Anna agrees to help Luke. Ronnie pretends to know nothing after Dante confronts him about Lulu. Dante accuses him of setting Eddie up and doing something to his wife. Ronnie insists that he's done nothing wrong. Dante ends up attacking Ronnie and when a policeman walks up, Ronnie tells him Dante is the dirty cop and he has proof. The policeman ends up pointing a gun at Dante and tells him to step away from Ronnie. Dante issues a threat to Ronnie if he does anything bad to his wife. Luke shows up at the police station and finds Dante handcuffed. Dante informs him that Ronnie set him up and he tells Luke to find Lulu before it is too late. Elizabeth calls for help after finding Ewen unconscious in his office. Maggie shows up and tends to him. After she is unable to wake him, he is rushed to the ER. Maggie discovers a paperweight with blood on it in Ewen's office. Elizabeth wonders who would want to do something bad to him. Heather shows up and thinks that the two women are talking about her. Elizabeth learns from Heather that Steve was arrested and taken to Memphis. Ewen finally regains consciousness and he ends up implicating Connie. Connie goes to Kate's office and empties the safe so that she can flee Port Charles. Olivia shows up wanting Kate's help in paying Steve's bail and getting him a lawyer. Connie refuses to help her and she informs Olivia that all the money she sees is being used so she can go out of town. Olivia begins to become suspicious about Kate. Olivia is shocked after Connie tells her about being in bed with Johnny and Sonny seeing her.

Dante attempts to convince Delores to release him from his cell but she thinks he is the one who set up Eddie. He attempts to explain to her how he has been framed by Ronnie. Delores ends up letting him out but warns him she will shoot him if she finds out that he has been lying to her. They go to the police computer and manage to track Lulu's cell phone GPS signal. Luke and Anna show up at the police station to see Dante, but he has already left. Sam and McBain bump into one another in the hallway at the hotel and he wonders how she knew he was staying there. McBain learns that she is staying at the hotel because she has left Jason and she explains the reasons why. John feels responsible for causing trouble between her and Jason but Sam informs him that the real problem is that Jason doesn't know if he can love the baby she is expecting. They end up realizing that their rooms are next to each other and then hear a loud noise coming from another room. John decides to knock on the door after Sam leaves to get something to eat. It is revealed that Ronnie has Lulu tied up in the hotel room. McBain clashes with Ronnie after knocking on the door. McBain receives a call from Anna after Ronnie slams the door in his face. Ronnie runs into Sam in the hallway after going to the front desk. After Sam hears more noise coming from the room, Ronnie stops her from investigating. Anna and Luke worry about Lulu after going to the Metro Court. When John shows up Luke and Anna fill him in about Lulu's disappearance. McBain sees a picture of Ronnie and realizes that it is the man from the hotel. Johnny is pleased to see Carly until she knees him in the groin before telling him about her argument with Kate. Johnny informs her that Kate is mentally ill and that the woman she saw with him was not Kate but her split personality, Connie Falconari. Johnny explains to Carly the reason why he was in bed with Connie and attempts to convince her that he has real feelings for her but she tells him it is over. After Carly leaves, Johnny realizes that his gun is missing. Starr shows up to see Sonny and tells him that Johnny picked up her recording contract. Sonny wonders why Starr would trust Johnny when he is the killer. Starr ends up pulling a gun on Sonny. Sonny tells her that he will help her find the real person who caused the accident and warns her that if she shoots him her life will be over. Starr tells Sonny he has to come somewhere with her and she forces him to leave with her. Dante and McBain show up at the hotel room armed.

McBain and Dante show up at Ronnie's hotel room with their guns drawn at the same time. The room ends up being empty, but Lulu's phone is still there. After McBain sees Sam’s dragon, he realizes that Ronnie has her as well. Dante and McBain wonder where Ronnie could have taken Sam and Lulu as McBain sees some casino matches. Dante tells McBain that the place has been shut for months. McBain ends up realizing that somebody left the matches there as a clue. McBain stops Dante from calling Jason. Ronnie has Lulu and Sam at the empty casino where Lulu warns him that he has made a huge mistake kidnapping Sam as the baby's father she is expecting is Jason Morgan. Sam remembers what happened when Ronnie took her into the hotel room. McBain and Dante show up and hear Ronnie, Sam and Lulu talking. Jason and Carly are both looking for Sonny. Carly informs Jason that he was right about Johnny. Carly fills Jason in about Kate having a split personality. Jason starts to believe that the gun discovered in Kate's office was Connie's. Carly informs Jason that Kate is at the airport and Jason leaves. Connie wants to take the next international flight out of Port Charles. Kate books a flight to Rio and pays for it in cash. As Connie waits to board the flight she has a fight with Kate out loud and a woman ends up recognizing her. Kate and Connie fight with each other after Connie goes to the airport bathroom. Kate ends up realizing that Connie has done something bad to Ewen and is determined to regain control. Connie leaves the bathroom to wait for the flight to leave as Jason shows up. Johnny ends up realizing that Starr has taken his gun. He calls Starr and informs her that he is on his way to find her. Michael shows up and punches him in the face for the way he has treated his mother as he is about to leave. Michael then accuses him of setting Sonny up with the car accident. Michael learns from Johnny that Starr is still in town and that he bought out her record contract. Johnny informs him that he believes that she is going to kill Sonny. Michael attempts to call Sonny but just gets through to his voice mail. Michael goes to Sonny's house and takes a look at the security tape and sees Starr leaving with Sonny. Starr takes Sonny to the place where the accident happened. She remembers how happy she was that night because Cole had just asked her to marry him. As Sonny attempts to talk some sense into Starr, Michael shows up.

Olivia goes to see Kate in the hospital, where Kate attempts to convince her that it was Connie who has been doing everything and not her. Olivia is not really convinced as this is not the first time Kate has reinvented herself. Kate attempts convince her that she is not lying. After they share a hug, Kate ends up giving Olivia all the money she needs to get Steve released on bail. Jason learns from Sonny that he doesn't believe Kate’s story. Jason attempts to convince Sonny that Kate could have a mental illness and wants him to understand that she is sick. Jason ends up discovering the bug in Sonny's house and they both realize that McBain planted it. Jason informs Sonny that he will take care of McBain before leaving. After Alexis shows up, she quizzes Sonny about Sam and Jason. Sam and McBain share a cup of coffee in his hotel room. Sam can't imagine a life without the baby she is expecting now being part of it. When Alexis calls Sam, she informs her that she is now staying at the Rendezvous motel. Alexis insists she come home, but Sam refuses. As Sam is about to leave John's room, Jason shows up and confronts him about planting a bug in Sonny's house. Todd returns to Port Charles to visit Starr in jail. He informs her that he got off the shooting Victor charge because of PTSD. He promises his daughter that he is going to make all the trouble go away. A pregnant Tea Delgado from Llanview walks in to help Starr. Felicia goes to see Mac at the police station and he informs her that he believes she chose her own happiness at the expense of her children. Felicia vows not to leave Port Charles until Maxie has been released. Matt, Alexis and Spinelli go over their plan to try and help Maxie. The news broadcasts a report about Ronnie's crime and says that security cameras caught the event. Spinelli then wonders if their cameras caught the murder on the boat as well. Spinelli pulls up the video footage at the casino after leaving the others and ends up seeing the murder.

Starr is pleased to see Tea who informs her that she will get the charges dropped. Tea wants to be alone with Starr but Todd refuses to leave. Todd believes that Tea is here to get revenge on him for killing Victor. After Todd end Tea exchange words, Todd leaves and Tea and Starr hug. Carly receives some flowers from Johnny at the Metro Court and after he shows up she tells him it is such a cliché to give flowers for cheating. Carly ends up throwing the flowers at Johnny. Johnny tells her that he will do anything to win her back. Carly wants to know if Johnny knew that Kate had a split personality and the fact that he did and slept with her anyway makes him a rapist. Johnny remains determined to win her back but Carly tells him that he is wasting his time. Carly is surprised when Todd later shows up with some flowers. Elizabeth goes to see Kate in her hospital room and Kate asks her how Ewan is doing. Elizabeth informs her that they don't know if he will ever recover. Kate informs her that Ewan told her she had DID but she thought it was really preposterous. Kate continues that Connie slept with Johnny to break up her and Sonny and that Sonny will never forgive her. Elizabeth tells Kate how she slept with Lucky's brother. Heather remembers poisoning Maggie at Steve's place as Olivia shows up. She informs Heather that she is going to Memphis to get Steve released on bail. Olivia is shocked to see Steve who informs her and Heather that all of the charges were dropped against him because of a confession from Maggie. Heather thinks that is it bad that Maggie tarnished Steve's name and she is glad that she is out of the picture. Olivia wonders what Heather means and she attempts to brush it off. Steve and Olivia are determined to find out why Maggie confessed as Heather listens in. Steve and Olivia learn that Maggie has been rushed to the hospital but she is still alive. Matt shows up at Patrick's house needing his help. He informs his brother that Maxie got sentenced to 20 years in jail. Matt feels hopeless and so does Patrick. Patrick look at a picture of Robin and Emma after making his brother leave. Spinelli wonders if he should reveal the footage against Maxie's wishes as Mac and Felicia show up. Spinelli shows them the video footage and they can see it is not Maxie, and they are pleased, but they can’t tell who the killer is. After Matt shows up and looks at the footage he becomes shocked. Johnny goes to the police station and sees Kate there.

Jason looks at the glass phoenix and thinks of Sam. Spinelli shows up and gives him a still from the footage of Lisa's murder. Spinelli is relieved when Jason fails to recognize the murderer. Spinelli informs him that it is Matt and tells him the reason why Maxie took the blame. Spinelli hopes that he can use the video footage to get Maxie released without having to reveal that Matt is the real killer. Sam looks at the dragon at the hospital and thinks about Jason. Kelly shows up and Sam tells her that her mother is going to be her labor partner and that Jason is not sure that he will be able to love the baby. Kelly notices that baby's iron level is very low and they need to test the baby for a disease after he is born. Alexis is running late and Molly comes down in her robe. Alexis wants to give her a lift to school but Molly tells her that she can make it there on her own. After Alexis leaves, TJ shows up. As they kiss, Michael shows up. Michael tells Molly that she is not supposed to be anywhere near TJ but she believes that it is not fair. Michael ends up agreeing to keep her secret but warns her Alexis will be furious if she finds out. After Shawn and Alexis bump into each other they discuss TJ and how he is going to school and staying out of trouble following the party. Michael explains to Sonny why he decided to turn Starr into the police. After Alexis shows up, Sonny wants to know if she will be able to get Kate off. Alexis explains to him that it is more complicated than that. After Alexis leaves, Johnny approaches Sonny and tells him that he doesn't want Sonny to blame Kate for what happened and continues that she did not sleep with him of her own free will. Todd is not allowed to see his daughter at the police station and believes that she is in danger because she is locked up with Kate. Johnny shows up at the Metro Court with another present for Carly and she is surprised to see a bracelet she always wanted as a child. Johny attempts to convince her to give their relationship another chance and grabs her. After Todd shows up he warns Johnny to take his hands off Carly. Todd doesn't want Johnny anywhere near Carly or his daughter. Carly throws the bracelet away after Johnny leaves. After Todd leaves, Carly has a change of heart and takes the bracelet out of the rubbish. Michael shows up and informs his mother that he was the person who turned Starr into the police. Todd hears as Michael is telling his mother. Kate is convinced that she caused the accident that killed Starr's family. Kate is about to tell Starr about Connie as Alexis shows up and tells her not to say another word. Kate tells Alexis that she has decided to let Connie come out.

After Alexis shows up at the courthouse, Sonny wants to talk to her about Kate. She informs Sonny that Connie is real and that Kate is really scared of her. Sonny learns that Alexis has arranged for a psychiatrist to hypnotize her to get Connie to come out for questioning. Felicia and Mac go over the evidence with Spinelli in the courtroom as the DA shows up. He wants to know where the evidence came from and Spinelli informs him it is casino video footage. The DA thinks that the image could have be doctored and insists that it can not be used to help Maxie until the man in it can be identified. Spinelli begs for Maxie's release and admits he knows the man's identity and says it is Matt Hunter. Matt and Maxie talk in a holding cell. She asks him for a nail file and he informs her that she will be released in a few days because Spinelli found the killer from video footage at the Haunted Star. Matt tells her he thinks it is his brother but Maxie tells him it wasn't Patrick. Matt is shocked and confused after Maxie admits to him that she knows the killer is him. Tea goes to see Starr in her cell and informs her that her father is still in town and that he seemed really close with Carly. Starr tells Tea about her history with Michael and Tea informs her that he is willing to testify against her. Starr refuses to allow Tea to try and destroy Michael's credibility. Michael and Carly talk about Starr as Todd walks up and introduces himself to Michael. Todd ends up threatening Michael. Todd encourages him to take back his statement as his daughter has lost so much recently. Michael refuses to back down. Todd leaves and Carly believes that he has a good point. Elizabeth and Epiphany worry about Patrick as he shows up. Patrick says sorry to Elizabeth for the way he behaved last night, but she is just happy he is there. Patrick tells Epiphany that he came back to work because of her. Sonny opens a drawer in his office and sees a picture of him and Kate. Milo shows up and tells him that there is somebody here to see him who is revealed as being Todd. Todd wants Sonny to drop the charges against his daughter but Sonny tells him it is not going to happen. Todd tells him that his daughter has been suffering and not thinking straight recently. Todd tells Sonny that if Michael refuses to take his statement back he will tell the police who is really responsible for shooting out Anthony's tires, Connie.

Dante is surprised when he finds Lulu in Kate's office. Lulu is trying to get the magazine to press because there is nobody else available to do it. They talk about Kate's assault on Ewan and Dante informs her that he found the gun that shot out Anthony's tires in Kate's office. Molly is home alone with TJ when Sam shows up. She is there to pick up her mother for her Lamaze class and Molly wonders why Jason isn't going with her. After TJ leaves, Molly tells her sister that Alexis is having to work late tonight. Molly learns that Sam and Jason have broken up. Molly wants to know why and Sam informs her that Jason is not the father of her unborn child. Sam tells her about everything that happened in Hawaii. Molly ends up offering to be Sam's coach. Carly thinks about the bracelet that Johnny gave her. Carly tells Shawn that she caught Johnny cheating and that they are finished. Shawn wonders why she still has the bracelet and Carly ends up throwing it away. After Shawn leaves, Carly ends up retrieving the bracelet again. Elizabeth talks to Jason at the hospital and asks him if there is anyway he and Sam can sort out their problems. Jason tells her that he went to see Sam on her birthday but they did not discuss the baby. Jason wants to have his old life back with Sam but is not sure if they can. Elizabeth hugs Jason as Sam and Molly show up. Connie tells Sonny she shot Anthony’s tires causing the accident and tried to make him look guilty of committing the crime. Connie screams before Kate manages to regain control. Sonny informs her that Connie told him everything that happened. Johnny tells Anthony that he is the one who attempted to kill him but Anthony believes that he is lying. Johnny attempts to goad Anthony into shooting him but Anthony demands to be told the complete story. Johnny tells him that he shot the tires on his car that caused the accident and then tried to frame Sonny. Anthony and Johnny end up fighting over the gun and a shot ends up being fired.

Emma wonders if Elizabeth is going to become her new mother and Patrick assures that she is just a friend. Sam and Molly are surprised to see Jason and Elizabeth hugging. Sam informs them that they are at the hospital for her Lamaze class. After Jason takes Sam to one side, he informs her that it is too hard to live with Franco's baby and wants her to think about having the baby adopted. Téa goes to see McBain at his motel room and informs him that the judge has refused Starr bail. Tea talks to John about his connection to Sam. Todd and Carly bump into one another and she warns him that if attempts anything he will have to go through her and that she is not somebody who likes to be messed around. Todd ends up telling her about the offer he made to Sonny. Starr is surprised to see Michael after he shows up. After they talk, Michael is left feeling conflicted. Kate wants Sonny to tell her what Connie said as Alexis continues to listen in from behind the glass. Sonny ends up telling Kate everything that Connie told him and that he now believes in her again. Anthony drops to the floor after the shot is fired. After Johnny tells Anthony that he is going to get rid of him, he continues with how he got Connie to take the rap for the accident. Johnny then shoots Anthony several times after saying that he knows too much now.

Todd goes to see his daughter and informs her that he has made sure she will be released after the hearing. Todd tells her that he and Sonny have reached an agreement. Michael assures Sonny he isn't backing out before entering the courtroom. Sonny wants Michael to tell the judge that he made a mistake. Sonny tels his son that Todd knows the truth about who really caused the accident. Starr ends up being released after Michael changed his story and she wonders why he agree to. She also wonders why Tea failed to show up. Sonny lets Michael know that he appreciates what he did before he leaves. Starr thanks Michael for helping her and he informs her that Todd knows knows who really caused the accident. McBain leaves a message for Anna before arguing with Natalie on the phone. Heather suggests that she and Monica get some fresh air. Heather thinks that Anthony is rude when he doesn't respond to something she says to him. Tracy informs Monica that she heard her and Jason talking about his twin brother. Luke thinks that they should go inside so that Anthony doesn't overhear leaving Heather feeling suspicious. Tracy and Monica talk about Franco and Jason after going inside. Heather wonders why Luke is so interested in Anthony and he replies that it is because he and Tracy are still good friends. Tracy ends up asking Heather to leave and she tells them that they have not seen the back of her. When Tracy and Luke go back outside they discover that Anthony is gone. A reporter has a copy of a newspaper article about Sam and Jason's ordeal which will be run tomorrow. Jason tells Sam to go and meet Molly. McBain shows up and Jason shows him the paper, thinking that he has sold them out. McBain remains determined to bring Sonny down. Molly lets it slip to her mother that Jason is not the father of Sam's baby. Alexis is shocked and demands that Molly tells her everything. After Sam shows up she tells her mother that Franco raped her and that Jason doesn't want to have anything to do with the baby. After Sam tells her about the newspaper article, Alexis attempts unsuccessfully to stop the story from being run. When they call Kristina to warn her about the story, a roommate tells them that she left school weeks ago. Sonny shows up and both he and Alexis are surprised when Kristina walks through the door. Jason ends up being arrested for Franco's murder.

Matt ends up telling Elizabeth and his brother the truth about Lisa’s murder. Jason learns that there has been an anonymous tip off about Franco's murder and that is why he has been arrested. Jason calls Alexis for help but gets her voice mail and hangs up. Jason then calls Elizabeth for help. After she bails him out he shows her the newspaper article and insists that McBain is behind it. Jason tells her about his chat with Monica and Elizabeth believes that Jason and Sam will get back together in time. Spinelli goes to see Maxie in jail and insists that he had to do what he did to save her. Anna goes to see McBain and tells him about her job offer. McBain ends up opening up to her about his half-sister, Theresa. Felicia is not happy about Mac's firing, but he wants them to focus on getting Maxie out of jail. Anna twells Mac that she has been offered his old job. Matt and Patrick show up at the courthouse and Matt tells them he had no idea that he has killed Lisa. After the charges against Maxie are dropped she is allowed to spend a short amount of time with Matt before she has to testify against him. Felicia thanks Spinelli for everything that he has done and tells him that her daughter will learn that she needs him in time. Maxie asks Matt if he trusts her and they run off together. When Maxie returns she tells everybody that she will not testify after all and reveals to everyone that she and Matt just got married. Kristina is furious with her parents. She reveals that she had been having the time of her life at Yale until she discovered that Sonny forced the school into taking her as a student. After her parents ask her where she been for the last few weeks, Kristina reveals that she met somebody and that that they are working on a new reality show about the Corinthos family called Mob Princess. Jason shows up at McBain's door and tells him he has done enough damage.

Jason tells some thugs the location of McBain’s hotel room and wants them to make sure he is alone before they sort him out and to make sure that Sam is left out of it. Carly shows up to see Json with a copy of the newspaper article and he ends up telling her the truth about everything. Carly offers Jason some advise and urges him to fight for Sam. Carly receives a call from Johnny after she leaves and agrees to meet him. Jason looks at a picture of Sam and tells her that he is coming for her. Sam is in labor in John's room and refuses to let him leave to get help. Sam wants Jason to be there with her. McBain thinks Jason would tell her that he was sorry and will promise to stand by the baby for the rest of his life. Sam gives birth to a baby boy and John gives her the baby to hold. When McBain leaves to go get his car he is ambushed by the thugs in the hallway. Sam notices how much the baby looks like Jason. The baby suffers with some breathing problems as she waits for John to return. Todd promises Tea that her baby will be perfect. Todd apologizes to her for what he has done in the past and wants to move forward. Téa gives birth but Todd isn't sure that the baby is breathing. Tea begs him to take the baby to the hospital. Todd runs off and she gets back into the car. Heather puts Anthony's body in a wheelbarrow after fantasizing about how grateful Luke will be that she got rid of his body. Todd walks up and sees the car and recognizes Anthony. Heather shows up and informs him that it is not what it looks like, but he doesn’t care. Lulu pressures her father for some answers. Luke ends up telling her everything after she agrees what he tells her will stay just between themselves. Luke refuses to let Lulu tell Dante. Johnny shows up at the police station and pressures Dante to make an arrest.

Carly hopes that Jason has taken her advice and gone to sort things out with Sam. Johnny shows up to see Carly and she takes out the bracelet he gave her. Carly thinks that she can forgive Johnny but there has to be some ground rules which include no more lies. Johnny ends up lying to Carly again when he tells her that Anthony is missing and that Luke and Tracy have been arrested supected of killing him. Johnny and Carly end up sharing a kiss. Téa looks at a photo of Victor and hopes that the baby looks like him. She asks for him to protect the baby because she knows something is not right. As Tea goes looking for Todd, John is revealed to be in a ditch nearby. Jason shows up at the motel looking for Sam. He knocks on her on door and says that he loves her and he baby and begs for her to open the door. Sam is in McBain’s room across the hall, rocking the baby. As Jason enter her room, she leaves with the baby. Jason goes into John's room and sees her dragon figurine as he shows up. He informs Jason that he delivered Sam’s baby but when he went to get the car his thugs attacked him. Jason and John are unable to find Sam and realize she must have started walking. Jason encourages John to call a doctor and goes looking for his wife. Heather is unable to save the baby's life. Todd is devastated and doesn't know how he is going to tell Tea. Sam ends up coming upon the house and puts the baby in a planter box outside. After going inside, she passes out. Todd discovers her, then hears a baby crying. As he is about to take the baby to Sam, Tea shows up and thinks the baby he is carrying is hers. Heather pulls Todd aside and wonders why he is not happy as this is the miracle they needed. Todd ends up agreeing to Heather's plan. Heather tells an unconscious Sam that she has got everything that she deserves.
