     Luis Alberto listen in on Alejandro's conversation with Gonzalo as he tells him he has the proof against Cesar that he needed. He also tells him he's coming home to recuperate his family. Rebeca enters Florencia's room and reveals Fabricio's kidnapping thinking she already knew and she becomes hysterical. She blames herself when Juan runs in and throws Rebeca out. Luis Alberto tells Nuria what he learned as they wonder what to do. Cesar insults his mother when Juan arrives and tells Rebeca that Florencia got worse and blames her. Cesar insults him as Juan defends himself. He throws him out as Rebeca says she's reporting him.

     Santiago talks to Nuria and tells her to clear her conscious. Luis Alberto calls Cesar. Alejandro tells Miranda of Gonzalo's plans. He asks her when are they going to solve their problems. He tries to explain but she tells him he doesn't have to. He tells her she's going to listen even if he has to tie her to the chair. She laughs and agrees to hear him. He begins by telling her of the anonymous notes and she says what they said wasn't true. He tells her he knows that now and wants to put the pieces of the puzzle together. He tells her of the last letter his father received. She tells him she wants to drink something and he tells her he'll get it. She stops him and asks him if his bruise hurts and he tells her not as much as her coldness towards him saying the wounds of the body heal easily but not the ones in his soul. They kiss and make love.

     Fernanda and Juan try to calm down Florencia as she tells him she wants to be by hersself and she cries for Fabricio. Fernanda thanks Juan for being present because she would have gone crazy. He tells her of Cesar and she realizes Juan is the person who will put Berta in her place. Cesar tells Luis Alberto he'll kill Gonzalo when he returns to Mexico. Miranda tells Alejandro they shouldn't have slept together and he says why not; she's his wife and they love each other. They plan to keep putting the puzzle together when Daira calls. He tells her they're busy when Berta arrives. She tells Miranda that Alejandro is using her to freeze his fortune. She's surprised when he tells her his fortune is already frozen.

     Miranda surprises Berta telling her she knows about the clause and that she signed a pre-nuptial agreement. She becomes bothered when he tells her they're busy as he tells Miranda not to believe what Berta tells her. He also tells her of his plans to travel to Italy to settle the case once and for all as they kiss. Juan tells Renata what Rebeca did as he denies to go be with her at the mansion. Miranda enters and comforts her. Berta wonders what other clause is in Alfredo's will when El Guapo calls her. She tells him to beat Fabricio but not to kill him. Florencia worries about her husband as Fernanda tells Juan that he should stay with his wife and has her permission to enter her house.

     Miranda tells Renata that she and Alejandro haven't reconciled just yet saying they need to talk but she's happy they are together. Renata tells Miranda not to be so harsh on Berta as she says that despite finding something negative, an argument supports the positive part. Berta asks Lucas what Cesar has planned. Renata arrives and Berta humiliates her and puts her down by insulting Juan. Daira brings a gift to Miranda from Alejandro. They talk about Rebeca and Liazania. Berta tries to manipulate Renata and makes her feel inferior. Fabricio meets Trinidad, a lady paid to take food to him.

     Berta arrves at Cesar's. They talk about Lizania when the doorbell rings. Lizania tells Cesar she came to say goodbye. She tells him she's leaving Mexico and that Alejandro is already in Italy. When Berta asks her why he's there she tries to run off but Cesar grabs her. Fabricio begs Trinidad to help him. Berta smothers Lizania with a pillow as Cesar tries to hit her. She cries and struggles to tell him not to hit her when she drops her necklace and falls into the couch. Cesar tells Berta that Lizania is dead.

     Daira tells Cesar how worried she is about Lizania and asks him if he can help her find his friends that saw a man hitting her. Hew covers saying he doesn't have their numbers and she leaves. Luis Alberto tells Cesar when Gonzalo returns. Rebeca tells Julio not to call the police when Berta arrives. Trini assures Fabricio she talked to Rebeca. He tells her of his wife as the captors tell Trino he will die or die soon. Miranda talks to Santiago about Alejandro and tells him she'll talk with her mother. She also tells him about Fabricio and Lizania. Veronica assures Juan she had nothing to do with Fabricio's kidnapping. Miranda talks to Gonzalo and then Alejandro. Cesar tells Julio why he doesn't want to involve the police. As Berta leaves Cesar tells her not to hurt his brother.

     Fabricio tells Trinida that he wasn't kidnapped for money but to teach him a lesson. Fabricio visits Florencia and tells him they'll be together soon. She awakens and tells her mother that her husband is dead. She tells him that he isn't and tries to calm her down. Juan gives Fernanda the same advice she gave him as Florencia prays for her husband. Berta arrives to find Fabricio near death as she tells Trini to buy some medications after she gets after El Guapo. Fermin informs Miranda that the accounts are in Gonzalo's name. Santiago comforts Daira when the police arrive with Lizania's purse.

     Daira becomes more worried as she decides to call Alejandro. Gonzalo tells Miranda they'll talk when he rturns and tghat everything will be cleared up. Fermin tells Miranda that he'll find a way for her to get her loan. Fernanda makes peace with Veronica and offers her help. Trini tells Fabricio about Berta's visit. Miranda talks to Gabino. Veronica denies to tell her parents the truth as the doctors tells her to join an AIDS group. Gabino and Arcaria worry about the upcoming rainy season.

     Berta gets after El Guapo for his treatment towards Fabricio. Miranda tries to calm down Florencia as Fernanda worries about Daira. El Guapo and Berta pay Fabricio a visit. Miranda tells Daira that Alejandro is on his way home. She wonders what Cesar has anything to do with Lizania as she comforts Daira. Luis Alberto tells Cesar that Gonzalo knows everything.

     Alejandro cries as he hugs his sister's urn. A nurse mistreats a poor patient when Juan intervenes. Erica, Veronica and Renata witness it all as the nurse says it's a private hospital and isn't going to help the lady despite Juan telling her she has symptoms of a heart attack. Renata goes for a stretcher as the lady passes out and Veronica and Erica help Juan. He tends to her as the nurse tells Renata she's going to report Juan. Miranda explains to Alejandro what the police told them what happened to Lizania. He says his sister was healthy and denies to believe she had the same disease as his father. He cries and says he let his father down and never had a chance to say goodbye as Miranda consoles him.

     Dr. Escalante tells the nurse what Juan did was correct and fires her. Juan tells him superior he'll pay for the elderly lady's stay and offers his resignation. He turns him down and sas he reminds him of himself when he was younger. Renata tells Florencia of her sister's death and Veronica asks her for forgiveness. Juan learns of Lizania's death. Rebeca freaks out when she receives a box of chocolate fingers (sent by Berta). Cesar arrives and sees his mother hysterical and asks Berta if she told her about the death. Rebeca faints as Berta eats the fingers.

     Juan tells Renata that Alejandro needs to have an examination done as she tells him to stay with her at her house. Fernanda checks on Florencia and runs out crying. Cesar tells Rebeca that the one who died was Lizania as she blurts out how much she loves him as Berta looks at him. Juan tries to calm Fernanda as she worries about Daira. Renata hugs her mother as she tells her she hasn't lost her or her sisters. Alejandro tells Miranda that Lizania was like his daughter and plans to investigate further. Daira tells Alejandro she wants to return to Italy the following day as he begs her not to.

     Cesar tells Rebeca not to repeat what she just said about Lizania as he plans to visit Alejandro. Daira explains to Alejandro her reasons for wantint to leave and he reluctantly agrees. Miranda and Santiago support her as Miranda tells her to return when she feels she's ready. At that moment Cesar arrives and Alejandro confronts him. Daira tells him how he's helped them and he asks his wife and family to leave him alone with him.

     Fernanda tells Juan it's time for Florencia to go to the ranch. He asks her about Renata's hug as she says it was only a moment saying Renata doesn't love her. She also tells him to beware of Berta. She also donfides in him that Lizania suffered before she had her heart attack. Erica and Veronica tell Renata that hugging her mother was a first step. Miranda tells her sister that Cesar has gone for Fabricio as she tells her of their father's visit. Alejandro arrives and learns of Cesar's plans.

     Fabricio lies to Nuria and says he never saw his kidnappers when Cesar arrives. He tells him he wants La Quinta back as he tells him the kidnappers didn't harm him. Alejandro tells his sister that Daira has returned to Italy. He also tells them about the meeting Gonzalo has arranged. Gonzalo orders Berta be at the meeting but she denies to. Berta tells Lucas whatever has to happen will happen. Gonzalo arrives at the ranch and concludes that Berta was the one who shot Alfredo and wonders who it was that she really wanted to kill.

     Renata tells Juan she can't attend Amparo's party and has to attend her father's gathering. Alejandro tells Miranda that her father is too demading. Luis Alberto tells Cesar to be careful. Miranda tells Florencia she hopes there's no problems between Gonzalo and Alejandro when Fabricio enters and hugs his wife. Gonzalo arrives home to find Berta waiting for him.      Gonzalo tells her if she's going to shoot him to so it. He tells her he knows she killed Alfredo as Charo hears it all. He tells her he knows she took away Tomasa's granddaughter since she knew the truth and she admits it's true. She also tells him she wrote the anonymous notes and that Fernanda did love him. He asks her why she destroyed their lives as Charo listens. Fabricio tells Florencia he never wants to talk about his kidnapping ever again. Berta confesses to Gonzalo that she wrote the notes to Alfredo and let him in the ranch that night. She also tells him she did it to hurt Fernanda and now Miranda. She also confesses that Florencia never took medications; she took placebos and did it to hurt Fernanda where it most hurts as El Guapo standa outside the window and points a gun at Gonzalo. At that moment Cesar arrives and tells him not only did he take her momet but also is going to have Renata and Miranda. As he lunges towards him, El Guapo shoot him in the back.

     Alejandro hears the gunshot as he approaches the house. El Guapo tells Berta and Cesar he'll take care of Alejandro. They hide as Alejandro runs to Gonzalo's side. El Guapo appears and he fights him and is able to take away his gun and shoots him in the shoulder as he runs away. El Guapo orders Charo to help him escape as Berta and Cesar enter and blame Alejandro for shooting Gonzalo. He aims the gun at Cesar saying he didn't do it when Miranda, Renata and Fernanda arrive and run to Gonzalo's side. Fernanda tells them he's still alive as Berta stares at Cesar.

     Miranda tells Alejandro she knows he didn't do it as she blames Berta. Alejandro tells her it wasn't her; it was El Guapo. Cesar says it was Alejandro when Gonzalo awakens. Alejandro tells him to hold on but he dies as his daughters cry as they cling on to him. Fernanda also cries as Cesar and Berta smile at each other. The Jimenez family wait for Amparo's arrival. Fabricio learns how much money Berta asked for. Amparo receives the surprise of a lifetime.

     Miranda surprised when Alejandro tells her he doesn't want to have any choldren. He explains trat his father and sister died and that his other sister is dying from the same disease his father had and that he doesn't want to see a child of his die. The couple hug as Miranda cries. Juan talks to Fernanda and learns of Florencia's condition.      Nuria learns of Gonzalo's death and tells Luis Alberto that she feels bad about Alejandro. He tells her to beware of Cesar since he believes Cesar killed Gonzalo. Berta relishes in her pain when Charo arrives and tells her that Juan has come to look for Renata. Berta slaps her as she insults her. Miranda talks to Pamela as she tells her how she feels and later cries as she looks at a picture of her father. Berta talks to Juan ans tells him he's not welcome there anynore and he laughs. He tells her that the only one that can tells him to leave is Fernanda and if someone has to pack her bags it's her. She's surprised when she learns that her sister is the rightful owner of the mansion. Juan looks for Renata who feels guilty about her father's death and rebels against her husband telling him to leave since she won't return with him.

     Miranda tells Vicente to find a way to get Alejandro out of jail as Luciano tells her he knows of a woman lawyer who could help him. She accepts and tells them to sell everything of valor including all her jewelry. Luciano tells her not the ones that Alejandro gave her but she saus she doesn't want them without him. They leave when Pamela arrives and consoles her friend. Juan tells his family of Renata's attitude. Vicente gives Luciano the papers he needs to take control of Alejandro's business dealings. Luis Alberto arrives and Luciano tells him he's fired. Alejandro arrives at the prison and is hosed down by the guards and prisoners which include Chaquiras and Romeo.

     Pamela offers Miranda her fortune but she turns her down. Luis Alberto defends himself to Miranda but she says there's nothing she can do. He tells them he knows things and Vicente asks him if it concerns Cesar but he says they'll never know and walks out. Vicente tells Miranda that Gonzalo was planning to fire him when he returned as Luciano tells them that anything he would have leaned he would have told Cesar. Erica and Veronica tell Renata to be with Juan as Berta listens. She walks in as she tries to manipulate her niece as Veronica catches on to her game.

     Julio asks Fernanda how she feelsand she says she doesn't know since no one has asked her. She learns from Rebeca that Berta had contact with Alfredo the time she was married to Gonzalo. Erica tells Veronica not to confront Berta as she tells her she knows a lot of Berta's secrets. Renata arrives and thanks her friends for their support. Rebeca tells Julio she doesn't think Berta is as bad as Fernanda says. Fernanda tells Julio she wants to renew their friendship and Rebeca becomes jealous. Later, she calls Berta and tells her of Fernanda's visit.

     Miranda talks to Luciano and tells him how she feels and he tells her Alejandro feels the same way. Vicente tells Luciano that Luis Alberto has left as he tells Miranda that it was Alejandro's decision to let him go. Luis Alberto talks to Nuria and wonders what Gonzalo learned. He tells her that maybe Cesar got the proof after he killed him and she becomes angry. Alejandro tells Luciano that Romeo and Chaquiras the ones who robbed his car are in the same prison with him and have already confronted him. He tells him to find a way to pay for his protection and asks for Miranda and tells him he wants to see Berta. Naty recalls that night and says she knows where the gun is. Time passes. Renata, Miranda and Florencia look at a sonogram of Florencia's baby as Fernanda conducts the exam.

Pamela gets worse as Arcaria tends to her. Miranda swims her way to shore as does Gabino.      The Jimenez family learns of the damage the hurricane caused. Renata informs Fabricio that Florencia went into labor and he's worried that Berta is at the ranch but covers. Florencia is grateful her son was born as Miranda says everything she went through was worth it.     Berta tells Cesar that his son is dead. The funeral procession for Nuria's baby takes place. Later that night, Miranda finds Nuria craddling a pillow and worries about her.      Cesar tells Berta that if his son is dead it was either her or Nuria's fault. She also tells him that Nuria isn't her daughter. He tells her he saw the birth certificate but without revealing why she tells him she can't be her daughter because she's unable to have any children. She asks him why he married Nuria and he realizes she stole her but from who. Naty seems them talking and Sanson catches him. Miranda talks to the other owners who plan to sell their properties when Liliana arrives and introduces herself as her husband's lawyer.

     Alejandro tends to his chores when Romeo and Chaquiras arrive. He fights with them and on order to have him on his side he promises that when he's released he'll help them get out. They don't trust him as they gt into a fight again and he beats up the pair. Miranda tells Liliana that next time she wants to talk to her she needs to make an appointment. Cesar makes fun of Berta. Florencia becomes bothered when she finds Nuria with her son. Carola complains about Renata when she appears and tells her she didn't go shopping, she came to help her sisters. They get into an argument when Renata tells her if she continues she'll throw her out. Amparo gets after Carola for fighting with Renata.

     Alejandro gets a visit from Santiago who tells him what's going on in Tabasco. He senses a sadness in his nephew as he rebels against God. Alejandro blames Berta for his disgrace and as he asks his uncle to counsel Charo. Nuria takes the baby away from Florencia when Fabricio arrives and says he's her son. Florencia repeats over and over that her baby is dead. Liliana leaves after she tells Miranda what she has to say in court. Juan arrives and Miranda collapses. Pamela and Luciano accompany Miranda to the hospital as Renata blames Juan for her sister's illness. Later he tells her of everything that's going on at the ranch and that she's the one in charge now. Fabricio talks to Florencia when Berta arrives. She grabs the baby and is about to take him with her when she stops her and tells her husband she can't stand her. Juan tells Amparo that Miranda could die. Cesar asks Nuria for his son and blames her for his death and tells her she is the one that should be dead and since their son doesn't exist anymore he wants a divorce.

She and Cesar are surprised to see Naty and Berta asks her why she didn't tell her who she was when she asked her and she answers that she didn't want to. Cesar is rude to Fernanda as she tells the pair that they ruined Miranda's life. In retaliation Berta tells her in her next court appearance she'll say that she knew Alejandro was coming to town to kill Gonzalo and that she has Rebeca as a witness.

     Fernanda talks to Miranda and tells her to fight when Renata arrives. She tells Renata that her sister has hung on and asks her about the ranch as she suggests she return with Juan. She denies to saying they're from different classes. Fernanda tells her she sounds like Berta but Renata reminds her of their agreement; not to talk bad about Berta. El Guapo is able to communicate with Berta after months saying Alejandro almost killed him. She orders him to take care of Naty when Cesar arrives. She tells him to keep seeing Nuria so she can control her. Alejandro talks to Liliana when Renata arrives. She meets Liliana and tells Alejandro how Miranda's doing. Renata tells Liliana that Alejandro is innocent and she says she knows or she wouldn't be there. He tells her she could have fallen in love with any man but chose him and gave her essence and innocence to him and became a woman in his arms. She awakens and tells him because of him she can confront death and that death wanted to rob her life. He says that when someone takes something from Miranda San Llorente. 'I recover it' she says. They kiss and Liliana sees them. Cesar tells Renata he regret not accepting her offer to live with him and invites her to New York. She accepts and they kiss. Unknown to them both Juan and Carola see them.

     Alejandro tells Liliana that Miranda is going to be fine as she tells her that her testimony is very important. She tells Alejandro it's time to leave as Miranda tells her if they can have a few minutes alone. Berta coaches Rebeca as she says she hopes Miranda divorces Alejandro and marry Cesar. Fernanda overhear Rebeca say they have to accuse her of ebing an aacomplice of Alejandro. She tells her husband to go as he kisses her Liliana walks away. Carola stops Juan from confronting Cesar and Renata as they make their plans.

     A month late Renata returns and is greeted by Charo and then Miranda. She's confused as she tells her Cesar took her to New York and of her attitude. Liliana tells Alejandro that his hearing is the next day and assures him he'll be set free under special terms but the next step would be the Supreme Court. He asks her if it means he'll be set free to put together his life back together. When she tells him yes he hugs her thanking her for everything. He tells her he wants to meet her daughter but she denies to saying when his trial is over they'll never see each other again.

     Juan tells Luciano that Renata could sleep with who she wants to but won't give her a divorce. He tells her to look for her but he denies to. Florencia tells Nuria that she no longer has to nurse her baby. She leaves and says that's her baby and not Florencia's when Berta arrives and tells her that the baby is indeed hers.

    Berta calls Cesar and tells him she knows he slept with Renata. Amparo tells Francisco how her classes are going. He asks her about Roman and she tells him she wants to do her things and not get married yet. Berta tells Lucas that if Alejandro is set free she'll have to go to drastic measures. Nuria sneaks into Florencia's room and carries the baby telling him she knows he's not her son. Berta meets with El Guapo and tells her of her plans for Nuria. Cesar is questioned at the hearing and says he saw Alejandro shoot Gonzalo as he recalls that night. Nuria tells Charo that she knows Enrique is not her son and wants to be near hers when Santiago arrives. He asks Charo why she isn't at the hearing and she tells him she doesn't know because they didn't call her.

     Berta testifies followed by Miranda. Julio meets with Luis Alberto and tells him they got the clients they were after. Luis Alberto asks him if he's sure Cesar won't betray him like he did Gonzalo and he assures him he won't since he's his father. Berta and Cesar talk about Julio and ask El Guapo to eliminate him. He tells them he will when he finishes with Nuria and Cesar warns Berta not to do anything to her until she signs the divorce papers. Miranda's questioned about Alejandro getting revenge on her father and she tells them she's sure he didn't kill him because revenge doesn't mean to kill. They ask her if she says that because she loves him or her love for him has blinded her. She tells them she doesn't understand the question and the double meaning they have.

     Liliana tells Miranda to correct what she just said. Cesar tells Berta to do what she wants to Nuria but no yet and will blame them if something does. El Guapo tells Berta he'll neat him to respect her but she tells him no one touches Cesarin; not even with a rose petal. The attorney tells Miranda to explain her outburst or will face the consequences. She explains that loving Alejandro has nothing to do whether she believes he's innocent of killing her father and if it were the case that would null her testimony. The attorney withdraws the testimony and Lilina congratulates her. She tells her she needs to meet with the judge and becomes jealous as the couple kiss.

     Luis Alberto tells Julio that Cesar was the father of Nuria's baby as he recalls the day he saw him mistreat her. LA is shocked to learn that Nuria's baby died at birth as Santiago consoles her. Renata meets with Juan and asks him when he's giving her a divorce. He tells her no and berates her for trading in their love for a trip with Cesar to New York. He promises to change for her and kisses her. She pulls away and tells him to accept it's over.

     Luciano tells Miranda she could have jeapordized with her attitude towards Liliana. She says she doesn't like the way she treats her as does Pamela. He defends her as the women become bothered. He leaves as Miranda wonders if Luciano is right and has Liliana investigated. Juan asks Renata if a trip can replace what they had as recalls their first night together. Vicente gives Miranda the information she wanted. Miranda tells Pamela that Liliana is more dangerous than she thought because she IS a mother.

     Berta gets after Charo for leaving Nuria with Santiago when she arrives. She tells her she knows that Enrique isn't her son and she slaps her. Charo tells her Luis Alberto wants to see Nuria but she denies to let her see him. Juan begs Renata to spend one night with him. Miranda tells Pamela that Liliana is just like her except she has a child. At that moment Alejandro surprised her telling her he's free. She tells him she wants to thank Liliana and she walks in with her daughter Sofia as Miranda looks on jealous of the family she sees.
