Gonzalo calls Miranda and tells her she has to be strong as she blames herself. She also tells her father she isn't giving up and will attend the fair to see if she can find a solution. Alejandro begs Fabricio to let him resolve the issue with Gonzalo. He's totally against it saying he has to do it now. He mentions Florencia but Alejandro tells him she win't be able to handle it and if she finds out he'll pay for it. Fabricio takes it as a threat as Alejandro says if Florencia dies because of his fault he'll join her when Miranda enters. Fabricio leaves and Alejandro tells Miranda he has to go see Lizania and asks her if they're still getting married. She tells him she'll return home in a couple of days to prepare the wedding. He tells her to leave it to the experts as she tells him it's her wedding, not theirs.
Miranda asks Alejandro why he's so nervous and he tells her he doesn't want to leave. She tells him there's something else and he tells her about the pre-nuptial agreement and the reasons behind it. She tells him it's not a problem since she's marrying him and not his money. He thanks her and then tells her there's a clause in his father's will where it stipulates that in order for his fortune not to be transferred to Daira and Lizania they have to have a child within a year of their marriage. She agrees but tells him it's not because of a clause but because she loves him and wants not one but several children with him and they kiss.
Pamela tells Nuria she has to tell Miranda about her dreams when Alejandro arrives. Nuria leaves and Pamela asks Alejandro what his game is since he does know Luciano. He tells her he doesn't time have to explain but begs her to confide in him and that he needs someone to trust and tells her not to let Fabricio tell Miranda anything and to call him if he does. She becomes bothered as he tells her to look in his eyes and says that he loves Miranda and doesn't want to lose her. He thanks her she reluctantly agrees.
Renata awakens and thanks Amparo for taking care of her all night when Juan arrives. Amparo is moved when Renata calls her Mama Amparito. Juan examines her and they kiss. Amparo arrives with soup and makes the couple laugh. Carola gets ready for her interview when Daniel arrives and begs her to be his exclusively but she turns him down. Miranda tells Pamela how she was when Alejandro found her. She explains that she has to get things in order for her family as Pamela asks her what family since she's the only one working her behind off. She tells her she's hurting her as Pamela tells her in so many words she has no family. Daniel meets Raul and they talk about him and he learns Renata married Juan. Daniel tells him and Carola that Renata does things for two reasons; to make fun of someone or to defy them. Raul plans to investiga what Daniel told him.
Fernanda arrives at Gonzalo's and talks to Charo. Later, she writes her a note and sneaks it to her. Gonzalo tells Fernanda he doesn't want to fight anymore and she agrees. He asks her about that night as he tells her about Tomasa's dying words. Luciano tells Alejandro and Daira that Lizania knows she's being followed. They also talk about the papers that Berta has in her possession. Miranda tells Pamela her family might be in shambles but it's the only family she has. Pamela apologizes to her and she says her questions made her think clearer. Fernanda tells Gonzalo that Berta took Tomasa's granddaughter from her that night because she and Naty hid Berta's gun.
Fabricio and Florencia talk about their situation and the possibility of their child being born sick as she questions if her illness is hereditary who she did she get it from. Juan and Renata talk about Veronica and he tells her of his new job at the university. He also tells her they need to protect themselves saying he doesn't want to have any children. Lizania confronts Alejandro about being followed and asks for her inheritance. He tells her Berta has the documents and she tells him to marry Berta if that's what it takes to get him back but he denies to. She runs off saying she'll never forgive him.
Daira tells Alejandro that he can't marry Berta even if it means staying penniless. Fernanda tells Gonzalo about Naty and talks about the cocoa bush. Gonzalo tells her no tree exists but that his father and grandfather would talk about it but can't recall what it is. He agrees to talk to Fernanda again but reminds her that nothing has changed between them. She tells him she knows that as he tells her that they will confront Berta when she returns. Juan explains to Renata that what he meant to say is that when they have their economic situation in order is when they can have children and she agrees. He also tells her not to be rude to Fernanda. Miranda tells Arcaris she wants to talk to Naty.
