Roy suffers from a severe case of sticker shock when he goes shopping for a new lamp. Lucky promises a jittery Emily that her blackmailer will be caught and punished. Mike sheepishly admits to a disappointed Tammy how he lost the money for their vacation trip in a poker game. Alexis brings Ned an offer she received for the purchase of L&B. Monica sees red when Alan schedules an appointment for her with a fertility specialist. Later, Roy is taken aback to discover that Bobbie has already decorated his entire apartment with furnishings from the brownstone. Carly lends Roy her expertise in interior design after bumping into him in the lamp shop. Tammy warns Mike she won't play second fiddle to his gambling habit. Juan appeals to Elizabeth to tell him what's bothering Emily aside from the fact that he tried to play the field. Insisting that his music company is not for sale, Ned asks Alexis if she wants him to give up rock'n'roll. Monica finally relents and tells Alan she'll keep her appointment with the doctor.

Helena congratulates Tony on being appointed the new chief of neurosurgery at GH, then prods him for a full report on Chloe's progress. Meanwhile, a chipper Chloe cheerfully informs Jax that she didn't have a single dream the night before. Stefan consults with a specialist from London about Chloe's astonishing ability to apparently see through another person's eyes. Unable to force Tony's hand, Helena turns to another source for privileged information about a certain patient's prognosis. Monica is annoyed to discover that Alan has been blabbing it around about her appointment with the fertility doctor. Later, Monica changes her tune when she catches her first glimpse of the attractive Dr. Townsend. Back at the mansion, Alan icily informs a scoffing Edward that he intends to break the cycle of pathetic parenting which has plagued the Quartermaine clan for generations. Marcus urges Mac to remove himself from the Spencer case but the irate police commissioner orders his detective off the investigation instead. Emily intervenes on Juan's behalf when Ned considers selling the boy's contract to another label. Mike's gambling debts land him in hot water with a loan shark.

Helena eavesdrops as Chloe explains to a dubious Mac how she's developed the ability to see things through the Cassadine matriarch's eyes. Nikolas and Lucky roughly demand answers from the young woman who tried to pick up the blackmail money. Marcus and Hannah make love for the first time. Sonny offers Carly an apology for coming down on her so hard but reminds her that she has to stop attacking people for no reason. Admitting that she does make wrong assumptions at times, Carly promises Sonny she'll try her best to improve. Claiming she knows no one named Emily, the girl tells Lucky and Nikolas she went for the bag because she was hungry and looking for food. A.J. boasts to Alexis about the lucky streak he's been on ever since he took up drinking again. Later, A.J. reminds Ned why his relationship with Alexis is doomed to failure. Confiding that he's in deep with a loanshark, Mike asks Roy if he can borrow thirty grand ASAP. Sonny suggests to Carly that she move back into the penthouse. The "homeless" girl places another threatening call to Emily. Helena decides to bump off Chloe.

Stefan instructs his doctor to create an identical copy of Chloe's prescription but to remove all traces of the medication's curative effect. Alan grimaces when a beaming Monica heaps praise on the wondrous Dr. Townsend. As Alexis moves her belongings into the penthouse across the hall, Sonny raises a cordial toast to his new neighbor. Later, a sputtering Ned arrives and berates his lover for getting even closer to her lowlife client. At L&B, Juan begins laying down the first tracks for "Heart and Soul" but the tune evokes bittersweet memories for both the singer and his muse. Meanwhile, Elizabeth tries to convince a worried Lucky and Nikolas that she would make the perfect spy when they go check out the blackmailer's domicile. Alan complains to Tony about Monica making plans to jump young Dr. Townsend's bones. Jax and Chloe get nowhere trying to calm Ned's fears about Alexis' new living arrangements. Later, Jax's meddling inadvertently convinces a slightly tipsy Alexis to stand pat.

Lucky orders Gia to tell him why she's blackmailing his friend. Stefan's operative provides him with a vial of placebo pills which exactly match the prescription Chloe has been taking. Meanwhile, Helena ponders how best to eliminate Chloe and decides to cut the young woman's throat. Carly arrives at Jason's penthouse with Michael and Letitia in tow and is greatly annoyed to find Alexis already in residence. Hearing loud voices across the hall, Sonny strolls over and informs a fuming Carly that he's already rented the place out. Desperate to get Sorel's goons off his back, Mike reluctantly agrees to let Roy gamble on his behalf. At Kelly's, Hannah intervenes to keep Marcus and A.J. apart. Jax delights Chloe with a romantic evening in the park to celebrate the fact that her health has improved so dramatically. As they reaffirm their love, Jax thanks Chloe for giving him a second chance at life. Carly accuses Sonny of manipulating events to force her hand, then declares that she and Michael will never move back in with him no matter what. Gia continues to deny that she knows anything about a blackmail scheme, then convinces Lucky to help her elude Taggert. Roy covers for Mike to keep Sonny in the dark about his father's problems with Sorel. Later, Roy calls Carly's bluff when she flirts openly with him in front of Sonny. Chloe has a terrifying vision of her own murder. Helena stumbles over proof of Andreas' betrayal.

Carly and Hannah got into a spat when Carly had nothing nice to say to A.J. Defending Carly, Bobbie threw A.J. out of Kelly's and Hannah left with him. Carly flipped when the teens showed up and she found out that Liz was going to do a test shoot for Deception. She asked Gia if she would be interested in doing a test shoot as well and Gia enthusiastically accepted. Carly received a call from Sonny and was worried that he wouldn't be home for Christmas. A.J. thanked Hannah for her support but told her that he didn't need it.

Taggert assigned a cop to guard Zander and told Alan that Emily was probably not in as much danger, but he wanted her to be careful. Juan went to the hospital to warn Zander to stay away from Emily. Edward was determined to get Mac fired for allowing the shooting to happen in front of the PCPD. Chloe and A.J. tried to make him see that his real anger was over the fact that Emily was almost killed. At the station, Felicia was the only one able to get through to him and make him realize that Mac was trying to do his job to the best of his ability.

Liz and Lucky do a little flirting and wrestling and then eat some Chinese. Alexis jumps in to defend Jason and Sonny to Taggert about the warehouse fire. Later, Sonny tells her that she could be a great asset to him. Katherine and the Prince have some hot sex and then Katherine gives him a robe. Carly and A.J. fight about Michael. Carly calls a cab and is off to do a little eavesdropping. She ends up waiting for Jason when he gets home. Jerry assures both Jax and Bobbie that he had nothing to do with the fire. Jason asks Sonny about this Moreno guy. Sonny puts him down. Says he's a bug. Once Sonny's alone, the bug shows up.

Lucky tries to convince Elizabeth that his love for her will return with time, but Elizabeth fears Lucky will grow to resent her. Tensions rise between Nikolas and Gia. Luke gets Laura to agree to go away with him. Meanwhile, Courtney questions Sonny's motives for wanting her to stay in Port Charles, and Alexis gains Sonny's gratitude for convincing Courtney to remain in town. Carly grows suspicious of Sonny and wonders if Sonny hired Zander to spy on Carly after Mike nails Zander for bringing Courtney to see Sonny. However, Zander insists that he simply admires and likes to work for Carly. Kristina freaks out after Ned kisses her, but Ned convinces Kristina to give him a try. Roy makes Melissa weak in the knees with his kiss, and Jax pleasantly surprises Skye when he reacts favorably to her forthright honesty.

Laura and Luke appear to tumble forward into romance at the motel, but Laura breaks away from a kiss, and the would-be couple ends up arguing instead. Luke accuses Laura of avoiding making a commitment, and hesitant Laura finally announces that she will give Luke an answer to his marriage proposal. Bobbie informs Scott that Laura and Luke have apparently reconciled, and Bobbie listens to Scott vent his frustration and declare that he will never lose out on love again. Sonny surprises Courtney when he protects her from Taggert, and Sonny reveals the family connection between Courtney and himself, which gives AJ a new round of ammunition. Edward agrees to drop charges against Skye and AJ if Melissa allows Edward to adopt her, and Roy comes to Melissa's rescue. After failing to make Helena restore his feelings for Elizabeth, Lucky runs into Melissa and Roy in the park, and reminds them to cherish their love. Helena frightens Nikolas by predicting his future.

Skye interrupts Sonny's evening with Alexis to blast him, and Sonny starts to dismiss annoying Skye when Jax comes to her rescue. Skye appreciates Jax's chivalry, and insincerely promises him to stay out of trouble in the future. While Sonny works on improving security at the No Name, Rosco approaches Alexis and puts the moves on her. Sonny returns to Alexis and quickly dismisses Rosco, informing her of Rosco's evil nature and association with Sorel. Meanwhile, Zander learns that Carly has indeed set him up on another blind date. Zander makes Nicole swiftly disappear by sharing his fabricated unsavory past, and Zander informs Carly that he is not ready to rejoin the wonderful world of dating. Later, Rosco finds Carly, and he informs suspicious Carly that he is her new best friend. AJ approaches Courtney, and uses her desire for independence to his best advantage. At the same time, Kristina informs Ned that she doesn't want to sing for L&B, but rather opts to learn more about him. Kristina and Ned fall into a kiss.

Alexis and Sonny flirt with deeper feelings for one another over dessert, and she questions Sonny's relationship with Carly. Sonny finds Courtney opening up to Mike, which sparks renewed conflict with his father. Sonny pushes Courtney away with his overbearing manner. Alexis asks Sonny to allow her to help him, and she asks if he knows how she really feels about him. Carly informs Rosco that she does not need a new "best friend" because Sonny will protect her. Zander enters to defend Carly, and Rosco later punishes Zander with a visit from his goons. Meanwhile, Nikolas provokes Lucky to unleash his animosity toward him for ruining Lucky's life. The two brothers battle on the basketball court, and Lucky finally spills that all of Nikolas' good intentions will never help him retrieve Elizabeth. At the same time, Bobbie urges angry Elizabeth to not give up on Lucky despite all of his deceptions. Bobbie reminds Elizabeth that Helena's manipulations dictated many of Lucky's actions, and Lucky arrives upon the scene as Bobbie asks Elizabeth to share her true feelings about Lucky. Alan makes Skye think when he confronts her with his feelings of disappointment, but AJ argues that Alan's words are hypocritical, and he teases Skye with the promise of getting back at Sonny. Conflicted Skye takes a moment for herself, and she apparently comes up with a new scheme of her own.
