Stefan is tickled pink to learn that Luke has become the prime suspect in his "murder" and is now on the run from the police. On Spoon Island, Chloe explains to Alexis how her dream may tie in with Stefan's disappearance. Laura entreats Roy to take her to Luke before he vanishes from Port Charles. Nikolas angrily intervenes after spotting his grandmother on the docks with Lucky. Promising he'll stay sober, A.J. asks Hannah to be his date for the Nurses' Ball but she explains that she may already have an escort for the evening. Meanwhile, keeping her own agenda secret, Carly coaxes Sonny to take her to the gala event and is disappointed when he suggests that it's too soon after the loss of their child. Nikolas orders Helena to keep her distance from his brother. Roy is forced to referee a shouting match between Felicia and Laura. Carly finally wheedles Sonny into agreeing to attend the Nurses' Ball. Laura assures a grieving Nikolas that Stefan knew how much his nephew loved him.

Bobbie rents Roy a tux, then cajoles her reluctant boyfriend into escorting her to the Nurses' Ball. Amy grits her teeth as she reports for her annual harrowing duty as Lucy's dresser. Juan comes down with a bad case of stage fright just hours before the Nurses' Ball. Nikolas assures Elizabeth he wants to represent his family at the gala despite his grief at the prospect of never seeing Stefan again. Meanwhile, Sonny explains to a surprised Mike why he consented to take Carly to the ball. Bobbie's slip of the lip sets Roy wondering about last year's big event. Emily works to reassure Juan, who fears he'll flop in front of all his friends. Laura steadfastly rejects Lucky's theory that his father took it on the lam because he murdered Stefan. Nikolas tells Elizabeth he hopes he won't lose his brother if it turns out that Luke indeed is guilty. Mike apologizes to Carly for inadvertently adding to her pain. Robin returns to Port Charles just in time for the start of the Nurses' Ball. Carly slips a revolver into her evening bag before leaving the penthouse with Sonny.

After whisking Carly and Michael out of the country and off to the island, Sonny calls Alexis to find out if there's been any fallout from the incident which followed the Nurses' Ball. Roy and Laura brainstorm in an effort to figure out who framed Luke. Lucky finally hooks up with his aunt and assures Bobbie he still wants to be close to her and Lucas despite his antipathy for his parents. Repeating his assertion that too much has changed during the last year, Lucky asks Bobbie to help Elizabeth understand that she should be with Nikolas from now on. A frustrated Chloe reports to Ned that there's been no change in her medical condition. Laura receives a "posthumous" letter from Stefan in which he claims that Luke was out for his blood all along. Carly vents her frustration on Sonny, who endures her insults patiently until she slaps him hard across the face. Helena speculates that Stefan may have somehow faked his own death and framed Luke for murder.

Chloe has another dream about Stefan. Helena suggests to an incensed Laura that Stefan's infatuation with her was just a poor substitute for the love his mother never gave him. From his hiding place, Stefan plots to throw Helena off his trail. Roy is perturbed to spot his daughter playing a friendly game of pool with A.J. Instantly regretting her actions, Carly apologizes to Sonny for striking him. Promising her there's no harm done, Sonny urges Carly not to let her hatred for A.J. ruin the rest of her life. Meanwhile, Roy warns Hannah that rooting for an underdog like A.J. could put her in jeopardy. Helena gleefully rubs Laura's face in the fact that she's lost both Luke and Stefan and is now utterly alone in the world. Sonny reassures a tearful Carly that she isn't losing her mind nor is she retreating to that dark place in which he sometimes finds himself imprisoned.

Bobbie brings Monica a home pregnancy test kit. Roy tells Laura he's looking for a new place to live, then awkwardly admits how Lucky spilled the beans about the rape. At Kelly's, Lucky expresses doubt to Elizabeth that Juan is really good enough for Emily. Jax returns to Port Charles ahead of schedule and receives a warm welcome home from a delighted Chloe. After Jax regretfully discloses that he could not get his hands on a single dose of the new medication, Chloe reminds her lover that they knew from the start his trip would be a long shot. An excited Monica confides to Bobbie how she's developed all the early symptoms she experienced with previous pregnancies. Roy is floored when Laura confirms her son's account of the rape. Lucky realizes that he's been guilty of the same kind of behavior he so disapproves of in Juan. A surly and suspicious Alan accuses Monica of cheating on him. Juan brings Emily to the hotel room he's reserved for their big moment. Elizabeth is surprised by Lucky's martial arts moves during an encounter with a troublemaker. Juan can't hide his disappointment after a nervous Emily decides she still isn't ready to have sex. Later, Emily tearfully tells Elizabeth that come hell or high water, she's going to make love to Juan after the rave on Friday night.

Chloe turns to Alexis for help convincing Jax not to make a deal with the devil. Stefan is pleased to receive the latest communique from Andreas. Carly and Sonny enjoy another sultry evening on the island. Juan and Emily arrive at the rave and quickly experience vastly different reactions to the scene. Stung by insults from Alison, Emily bickers with Juan, who accuses her of being stuck in a rut. Carly thanks Sonny for preventing her from recklessly throwing away her entire future. Though Alexis assures her that Jax is already well aware of the risks involved, Chloe presses her to make it clear how lethal Helena can be. Lucky leaps to Emily's defense and exchanges harsh words with Juan which turn into pushes and shoves. Afterwards, a sobbing Emily apologizes to her friends for getting them involved in her quarrel with Juan. Jax reminds Chloe that nothing in the world is more important to him than helping her get well. Watching Juan locking lips with Alison, Emily vows to teach her boyfriend a lesson by having some fun of her own. Helena makes an indecent proposal to Jax.

A frightened Emily wakes to find she's half-dressed and lying next to Ted's lifeless body. She's embarrassed but relieved when Lucky finds her and rescues her. He assures her that he will protect her and begins to remove all the evidence from the room. After refusing to tell Juan where they are going, Nicholas and Liz arrive and help. A.J. has another chat with Hannah who enjoys his company again. Jax hands Tony the formula from Helena and asks him to verify that this is the medicine that Chloe needs. Later, Chloe discovers from Tony that Jax has the formula for the drug that will help her. When she finally confronts him about the drug, Jax admits he has it but then lies to her about getting it from Helena. Bobbie is concerned when she spots Laura concerned about a missing Luke. Roy assures Laura that Luke still loves her. Bobbie offers Roy a room at the Brownstone after Laura informs her that she's moving out. Claiming it would not be a good idea for Lucas, Roy turns down Bobbie's offer.

On their last day on the island, Carly and Sonny spend time together on the beach. Afterwards, Carly kisses Sonny, assuming that their relationship is finished. Liz accompanies a shaken Emily to the clinic and covers for her when Laura also arrives. Liz claims she's there to volunteer and then finds Emily after she is relieved to learn that she was not raped. Though Nikolas is plagued with thoughts about getting rid of Ted's lifeless body, both he and Lucky agree that helping Emily was the right thing to do. He assures Lucky that he checked the freezer and the body is still there but is thinks that they should bury him as soon as possible. Desperate to find Emily, Juan seeks out Taggert who helps him track down Emily. He then tries to set things straight between them but Emily refuses to speak to him. Tony finally confirms for Jax that the sample of the formula he had tested is exactly what Chloe needs. When Chloe suggests that they take the weekend off and get away, Jax turns down her offer and realizes that he must now spend the night with Helena in order to get the drug for Chloe. Ned warns Alexis and Chloe to stay away from Helena.

Caught off guard by Carly's declaration, Sonny assumes that she wants to move out because the penthouse reminds her of the baby they lost. A shaken Emily tells Lucky and Elizabeth that an eyewitness to her crime seems to have emerged. Curious about how Chloe fits into the picture, Stefan orders his henchman to research the designer's life. Meanwhile, Chloe records another puzzling dream in her journal. Aboard the Cassadine yacht, a cooing Helena informs Jax that the repulsion she senses in him has only inflamed her already red hot libido. Carly prods Sonny to explain why he wants her to stay but he pretends that he couldn't care less where she hangs her hat. After they dance to the "Sleeping Beauty" waltz, Jax coaxes Helena to reveal where she's concealed the medicine Chloe so desperately needs. Nikolas cautions Emily that her caller is most likely going to start demanding cash. Laura bumps into Tim again at the bar. Promising Helena a night she'll never forget, Jax handcuffs her to the bed and then gags his protesting prisoner. As an enraged Helena looks on, Jax proceeds to electronically transfer control of the pharmaceutical company to himself.

Elizabeth is pleased to note an apparent change in Lucky's attitude towards her. A.J. continues his relentless pursuit of Hannah. At L&B, Juan pesters Nikolas for word of Emily but is frustrated by a news blackout. Monica confides her secret to Lila, who is delighted to learn that another little Quartermaine may be on the way. Roy and Bobbie enjoy their first morning in Hawaii. Ned surprises Alexis by readily agreeing to trot out his "Eddie Maine" persona again for a three-night stint in Detroit. Alan admits to Monica how much he's hoping their new child will be another boy so they can make up for all the mistakes they made with their older sons. Later, both the doctors Quartermaine are sorely disappointed when Monica's test results reveal that she isn't expecting at all but only entering perimenopause. Nikolas icily reminds Juan that he shot himself in the foot where Emily is concerned. Meanwhile, Emily's blackmailer phones again and demands five thousand dollars. Bobbie tries to reassure Roy that she doesn't need a lot of expensive things to be happy because she's finally back in the arms of her first love. Afterwards, out of Bobbie's earshot, Roy calls Mike and instructs him to wire three thousand dollars from the blues club.

Helena reminds Lucky that he must cut Elizabeth loose so she'll be free to be with Nikolas. Mike drops by the penthouse and finds his son in an unusually foul mood. Meanwhile, at the brownstone, Carly grumbles to Letitia about being forced to adjust to their reduced circumstances. Nikolas cautions Chloe not to go anywhere near his grandmother's yacht but she ignores his sage advice and pesters Jax to take her to Helena's party. Juan glumly informs Sherry that he and Emily have broken up. Letitia gently encourages her employer to go back to Sonny but Carly insists that they would never work as a couple. Elizabeth is hurt and confused when Lucky does another abrupt about face and icily reminds her that they are through. Sonny snarls at Marcus when he spots the police detective trying to make friends with Michael. Later, Sonny shyly invites Carly and her son to come to his place for dinner next week. Delighted to hear that Emily is no longer an obstacle, Sherry makes her move on Juan. Lucky and Nikolas plant the money, then wait nearby for the blackmailer to appear. Sonny encounters a heartbroken Elizabeth on the docks and listens sympathetically to her tale of woe. Emily walks into L&B just as Juan and Sherry begin to make love.

Bobbie and Roy board a flight for home following their idyllic vacation in Hawaii. At the brownstone, a jeering A.J. taunts Carly about losing Sonny's protection. Elizabeth tells Lucky she's letting go of her unrealistic dreams about them getting back together. Juan pleads for Emily's forgiveness and swears he loves no one but her. Insisting that they're through, Emily tearfully orders Juan to get out. A.J. informs Carly he's preparing to contest her sole custody of Michael in court. After listening to Chloe describe her dream about Stefan, an enraged Alexis accuses Helena of murder. Bobbie is surprised to find her daughter in residence at the brownstone. Lucky again pushes his brother to declare his love to Elizabeth.

Though Bobbie again invites him to move into the brownstone, Roy gently reminds her why it would probably be better if he found his own place. Mac presses Dara to keep building a case against Luke but the ADA repeats that she doesn't believe Spencer is guilty. Ned calls Alexis from Detroit to report on "Eddie Maine's" progress. Ignoring Dara's advice, Mac instructs Marcus to dig deeper for evidence so they can nail Luke's hide to the wall once the fugitive has been located. Later, Marcus confides to Hannah his fear that the police commissioner is on the verge of framing a possibly innocent man. Roy encounters trouble at Jake's and receives unexpected assistance from Lucky. Tony delivers some good news to Chloe as the new medication begins to kick in. Hannah warns a reluctant Marcus to closely document all his dealings with Mac from now on. Alexis flies to Detroit to surprise Ned. Roy rents a room behind Jake's place. Jax and Chloe take their suspicions back to Mac, who reminds them that he's already eliminated Helena as a suspect in her son's death. Nikolas and Lucky are stunned to discover that the freezer containing Ted's body has vanished.
