Mason and Julia see Sasha's figure outside. Mason is unable to catch her. Sidney tells Bunny she doesn't think Julia and Mason are telling the whole truth. Cruz arrests Kirk, who still doesn't feel defeated. He pulls some stick and Cruz almost falls into the pool of sharks. Michael saves him. Kirk agrees to fight with Cruz alone and they send the others away. CC and Augusta meet and are civil with each other. Nikki feels guilty. Kirk lets something flammable to leak while he's talking to Cruz. He tosses the lighter - so Eden would mourn him with Cruz. Explosion - Kirk's laughter. Gina gets Augusta to sign the papers of relieving her of her debt to the former. Bunny gives Sidney her sister's job. Cruz had jumped into the pool of sharks and is alive. Kirk sends a message to Cruz demanding a second round. Mason finds a piece of mask on the beach while he and Julia are wishing upon a star. Sidney has Sasha's corpse in her freezer and talks to it in a cold manner, telling it that she has Mason and Julia right where she had wanted them.

Julia brings Gladys, the psychic, to her house to see the picture from the cottage. Mason isn't happy about it. Gladys passes out. When she comes to, she tells them there's a bad spirit in their house. She wants to hold a seance. Mason at last agrees to it. Gladys calls the spirit. A knock is heard in response. Sidney Schmidt is at the door at 1.30 AM. Mason offers her a ride home. Julia is alone - the light goes out and the picture falls down. Cruz takes Amado with him and sends Vic back. Michael catches a snake to give to Marcos. Marcos calls Kirk and tells him everything goes as planned. Amado tells Cruz a name - Kahana - and Cruz checks it out (just like Kirk had planned he would). Marcos shows up, grabs Nikki and wants the ice. He takes the bag. Cruz shows up and tells them not to move. Amado butts in and Marcos regains control over the situation. He leaves with Nikki and Michael. Cruz tries to follow them but the DEA show up. The DEA send Cruz away but he finds a lighter, keeps it without telling them. Marcos calls Kirk that he has them. Nikki tells them she don't have the stuff. Marcos gets Michael to open the bag, Michael tricks Marcos and the latter gets bitten by the snake. Laura tells Annie to throw an electric clock-radio into Ethan's tub. Laura writes something else into Annie's diary. Ethan and the nurse had had dinner and are happy. She says her name is Pressman - her father had killed a little girl. She swears she didn't take the job to get Ethan review her father's case. Ethan doesn't want to take a bath today but the nurse insists he must. Annie's plan fails cause the nurse is in the bathroom with Ethan. Ethan wants to help her father. They kiss. Annie witnesses the scene with contempt. Laura gets a new plan - to poison Ethan's brandy.

Gina is with Bunny and is determined to use Blackie to find out about Augusta. Blackie and Gina talk and the former takes her to his room. Bunny finds a videotape in his room. He hides under the bed when Gina and Blackie enter. Michael has obviously been whipped. Kirk teases thirsty Nikki with water. Cruz shows up. Kirk, Michael and Nikki see him on cameras. Cruz follows the plan Lani had given him. Cruz saves their life and they escape. Kirk wants them dead. They find the boat missing. Cruz figures they can only leave over Kirk's dead body. Kelly asks Derek about the Craig-phone call. They talk of Hunt and Derek warns her about him. Phyllis shows up at work in showy clothes and asks Howie to get her into Stephen's film. Stephen agrees with her part but insists upon her changing the clothes. CC and Stephen have another argument about the film. Stephen promises to explain the film to Sophia in the evening cause Sophia threatens to leave if he doesn't. He has four boys sitting at the table, behind him Derek is observing the scene. Stephen tells CC that Derek is financing the film. CC wonders where the penniless philanthropist had got the money. Derek doesn't like the film being too close to life.

Sidney is at Julia's when Mason arrives from San Francisco. Julia and Mason learn that she has already been to the police. Sidney talks about Sasha and she's about to leave when a cop shows up to ask some questions. He knows about the threats Julia had made to Sasha. Julia and Mason find their freezer on fire. Gina insists on watching the tape. Gina wants to see Augusta - to have the full payment documents with her. Cruz takes the electricity out. Kirk is sure he'll get Cruz. He tells Lani about Eden and Cruz. Kirk's men don't want to mess around with cops, they want to leave. Mack agrees to train Augusta's horses. Mason is still convinced that somebody is after driving Julia crazy. He had learnt in SF that Sidney and Sasha had had a lot of arguments. Michael, Nikki and Cruz go back to the house. Cruz and Kirk meet.

Ethan studies Shannon's father's case. She wants him to let go. Ethan thinks Shannon might be wrong about her father. He asks her to read the file and she finally agrees. Nurse Green has resigned. Laura sends Annie in broad daylight to poison Ethan. Annie puts the poison into the bottle and then calls Laura. Michael and Nikki build a shelter on the island and then find a girl there. Ric and Rafael are worried about Cruz. An old man comes looking for Cruz. Sidney comes in and leaves again and Julia and Mason get out of the freezer. Brandon has been suspended from school for a week. Gina wants to know where Brandon has been instead of school. Mack talks to him and learns that he had been with Stephen. He asks him not to ditch school again. Gina wants to take Brandon away somewhere for a while.

Mason tells Sidney he has her dialogue with Sasha on tape and makes threats. Sid still wants money. Julia and Mason learn that the car in which the two nurses had been seen, belongs to the nurse who works in Laura's hospital. They talk to Nora Green who believes being absent-minded and not remembering where she had parked the car. They meet Laura who tells them that Ethan doesn't visit her any more. Ethan gets a call before he has a chance to sip his cognac. Shannon reads the files and learns that her mother had lied in court to make her father look bad. She can't understand why her mother had hated her father so much. Shannon wants to see her father and Ethan wants to help her by re-opening the case. The girl - Lea - tells Nikki and Michael that she is a victim of a boat accident 5-6 months before. She tells them no one will find the island. Cruz wakes up in an empty yacht and finally gets it started. Kelly has prepared a romantic dinner in Craig's hotel room. She tells him that she can't remember the year before Ted's birth. Derek calls ordering Craig to come to him and forbids him to sleep with Kelly. He says he has part of Stephen's script. Kelly leaves but follows Craig who takes his leave right after her.

Julia and Ethan promise Sidney immunity if she helped them. Laura gets mad when hearing that Ethan wants a divorce. Mason tells her he'll arrange a few hours out for her. Laura then tells Annie that Ethan will not live long enough to destroy her. She wants to hurt Ethan. The latter calls her. She tells Ethan she loves him and that she wants to meet him in the Lair. Ethan arranges a bodyguard for Shannon. Annie has learnt to be an electrician and Laura wants her to tamper with the light switch so it would kill Ethan. Julia tells Bunny about Sasha. Then Sid talks to him, trying to explain. Annie breaks into Ethan's house and sets a bomb. The bodyguard and Shannon walk in when she's there - she yells them not to touch the switch. Julia volunteers to be Laura's lawyer. Bunny tells Laura he has a surprise - Sasha Schmidt. Laura says - it can't be cause she's dead. The others ask her how she knows that. Michael had arranged Amado to meet Nikki and the two are very happy. Michael promises to help Nikki. The old man tells Cruz he's a sakhite - a shaman of his people. Cruz' mother is a sakhite as well. The shaman has seen Cruz in his dreams. He tells Cruz to think about becoming his successor. Cruz gets Michael back to work. Nikki and Amado are free but put under Cruz' supervision. Vic tells Cruz Benny is free, too. Amado will be sent to Mexico tomorrow, Nikki tells him she'll resign and go with him. The sakhite shows up at Cruz' office wanting to get an answer right away. He gives Cruz a stone on a ribbon saying it belongs to Cruz now. The latter gets a phone call and when he finishes, the man is gone.

The four men believe someone of the Capwells had killed Cassandra. They're excited about the article. They feel guilty for putting an innocent man to jail. Craig tells Derek that he and Kelly will be an item. When Kelly and Hunt talk Craig makes a mistake mentioning Cassie. Kelly deducts that the boys had known her for she had been a foster child in the Capwell family. Craig admits knowing Cassie and they talk about her. Kelly asks if Craig thinks someone other than Pressman did it. Ric calls Cruz for Lea had been hurt on the beach - heavy blow to her head. He is surprised that when Cruz comes she feels alright. When she's taken away Cruz finds the stone next to him on the sand. Cruz and Ric are both puzzled because Lea hasn't even got a bump on the head. Cruz decides to return the stone. He learns that the old man had died. Shannon is upset because her father had refused to see her, tells Ethan. Ethan calls on Frank Pressman telling him that he and Shannon want to help him. Pressman agrees to see Shannon. Shannon learns that her father had been unfaithful to her mother and therefore mother had paid back at him. She ends up crying for Frank isn't interested in being saved from the execution. Stephen tells Sophia over breakfast that they had met a long time ago and their meeting had changed his life. He tells Sophia that he has included some things from his childhood into the movie. Derek after reading Stephen's script tells him he can't film the tunnel scene. CC and Sophia find the videotape which Stephen had been hiding and watch it.

Kelly walks in on Derek playing with some boys at the orphanage. Derek tells her that they used to play the knights of the round table and how they used to watch the blond Capwell girls. Derek had been adopted and then brought back again. Derek learns from Allegra that Stephen shoots in the tunnel with the boys. Kelly tells CC that Craig and Derek had grown up in the orphanage and that Craig had known Cassie. CC plans a surprise for Sophia - he lets the house be renovated. CC goes to see why Stephen is shooting on the Lockridge property. After the shooting Derek calls on Stephen. Their plan had been to get an innocent man free. Derek wants to know if Stephen plans to blame anyone. He believes Stephen will accuse CC to get Sophia to himself. Derek wants Stephen to stop before he'll destroy some lives. He threatens not to let the movie be released. Kelly plans to throw a party - guest list: Derek, Ethan, Stephen and Craig plus the family. Amado gets to stay in America. He doesn't want to stay because a deal was cut with Benny. Eden calls Cruz to tell him she has decided to return home but the latter had just left. Cruz had put the amulet into the coffin. The ropes break and the coffin falls down, letting the amulet fall out. The undertakers give it to Cruz and he takes it, not letting them open up the coffin once more. Cruz wants to bring Eden home. Gina scolds Mack over bringing women into the trailer and they fight over the accommodation. Gina has an idea - to design clothes again. Somebody makes a computer image from the amulet - Cruz's face appears. Two men sit behind Cruz on the plane.

Julia and Mason get the court order to show up in the court of ethics. Julia is ready to renew her and Mason's partnership. She is against the idea of applying CC's ex-lawyer Mr. Applegate for being head of their commission. Mason succeeds in getting him into their commission anyway but he turns out to be a senile and rather deaf old man. Both Mason an Julia deliver their defence speeches. Julia and Mason are suspended until the next session. Applegate winds up in the hospital with angina. Julia is upset for Mason's plan had fell through. Ethan asks Shannon to accompany him to the dinner at Kelly's. They decide to find the real killer. The first application has been turned down - Pressman is to be executed in 10 days. Kelly and Craig have breakfast at the polo club and they see Mack with his girl. Ethan tells Craig that they'll make the dinner interesting so that the real killer would be revealed. CC wants the house to look like it did when he had met Sophia. Gina asks Mack to take Brandon home for she intends to go to the library, Mack is surprised. But he doesn't get it out of Gina what she is up to.

CC tells Sophia at Kelly's party that the four men aren't there by accident, they're all from the orphanage. Sophia learns about their knowing Cassie. CC tells her that the four men think one of them had killed Cassie. The guys watch the Capwells closely to see their reaction when they meet Shannon and when they find the picture of the family and Cassie. Capwells at the same time keep a close eye on the 4 men. Ethan places a tape recorder into their house in order to find out what'll happen after they're gone. At dinner all discuss the case. Ethan says he has few suspects - Ted and Kelly had been too young, Channing in Europe, Eden and Sophia unlikely, that leaves Mason and CC. CC gets angry and wants them all to leave. Kelly is angry with Craig. The latter wants her to ask Mason about the tunnel under the polo ground. CC calls on Mason asking if he had killed Cassie. Cruz has a surprise for Eden. He lets Eden do her own private fashion show for him. He ties her eyes for the last trial. Cruz had restored Eden's exact outfit the day they had met. The assassin promises somebody to kill Cruz for sure. A man comes to kill Cruz while Eden is in the shower, they fight and Cruz hits him - he falls out of the window of their hotel room. Laura's bail has been denied.

Sophia yells at Stephen when he offers to take her home. Sophia is not happy with Stephen's explanation and is angry with him. Stephen asks her not to leave the film. Mason is very upset that CC thinks he's a murderer. CC had heard Mason threaten to kill Cassie. Mason and Cassie had not gotten along. Mason tells CC Cassie had caught him drinking, they had argued but he had left her alive. CC apologizes and leaves. Mason then tells Julia the truth about how he had chased Cassie into the tunnel, how he had hit her and she had fallen against one of the support columns. Kelly believes there's something more to the fuss than meets the eye, not only to help Frank Pressman. Craig tells her that they had been very close to Cassie. Ethan fetches the tape recorder from Mason and Julia's place. Shannon calls on Sophia and CC and apologizes telling them she doesn't think anyone of them is the killer. CC is prepared to give Frank a job once he gets out. Sophia thanks CC for the changes in the house. Shannon fetches the tape recorder from CC's house and takes it to Ethan who gives her no explanation. Stephen and Ethan listen to the tapes and are convinced Mason is the killer. Eden is stunned at how Cruz could have hit the man so hard from the other end of the room that he fell out of the window. Inspector Bousseau asks Cruz some questions - there's no bruise on Cruz' neck. Cruz's hitman had only broken his leg.

Augusta is devastated because of Lionel's death. Julia calls on her and learns about Lionel having had an accident the circumstances of which are vague. She gets Lionel's will from Singapore. Augusta is very upset learning that Lionel had been cremated. Mack comforts her. Mason asks Craig what they plan to do about him. They talk about the tunnel, roses etc. Mason is convinced the four men are hiding something and that he'll find out what it is. Kelly lies to Craig for Mason and says she'll protect Mason for his enemies are her enemies. Gina meets a guy at the Lair. The guy doesn't take her gravure. Gina gets fired. She is shocked to learn from Mack that Lionel had died. Cruz realizes somebody is after him or Eden, or both. He doesn't believe it's Kirk. The assassin opens the door to a compartment.

Mason tells Julia of his visit to the tunnel. Derek is determined to kill Mason instead of kidnapping him as was planned. Alfred makes a hard decision to betray Derek and tells Craig his master is planning murder. Craig asks him not to tell the others. Ethan and Shannon spend a romantic evening and Ethan tells her of his childhood. Derek assures Ethan that justice will be done. Mason goes to the tunnel because of Craig's anonymous phone call. Craig hides himself and tells Mason (anonymously) that the 4 had reached the verdict and plan to take justice into their own hands. Mason says he didn't do it, Craig says it doesn't matter. He suggests Mason leave town. Julia calls on Derek and tells him he had betrayed their friendship and that he'll be sorry for trying to hurt her family. Alfred tries to talk Derek out of his crazy plan. It's Mason and Julia's wedding anniversary but Mason leaves when Julia is admiring the flowers. The assassin kills the man who had switched compartments with Cruz. Cruz reports the murder but asks it to be kept quiet so there'd be no panic. He finds the compartment plan the assassin had had. Cruz is sure HE had been the target. He catches the assassin when he comes to his compartment with a gun.

Gretchen calls on Mack at the stables and they make love. Julia thinks Derek had threatened Mason. CC thinks Mason had something to do with Cassie's death. Kelly tells Craig that Mason is missing and that it's all over between them. Derek overhears Craig's call to Julia telling her to stop CC from looking for Mason. He recognizes Hunt's voice and tells Alfred that Craig had played Mason right into his hands. Derek then calls Julia leaving a number for Mason to call him when he returns. Nikki and Amado get a job - Nikki as barman and Amado as waiter, and both as dancers. Ric, Nikki and Amado learn that Gretchen is married to Tawny's father. She tells them she and Gretchen had been to school together. Annie still wants to kill Ed. Laura tries to talk some sense into her. Annie finally takes Laura's cuffs off. Laura is not at all happy about the choice Annie had made concerning their clothes and wigs. Laura is very plain-looking when Annie is dressed up in the lines of Peggy in Married with Children. (The latter is my subjective opinion. Helle)

Stephen is worried that something might happen to Mason. Cruz forgets his charm to the beach after the picnic but Eden finds it and brings it back to the house. Cruz gets bit by a scorpio. He sleeps with the charm and feels fine - even the bite mark is gone. Augusta has invited all sorts of people to the service, like negroes painted in all sorts of colours etc. Augusta drops the urn and Lionel's remains are all over the floor. When she sits into a limo after the service, we see the driver who is - Lionel. Craig sees Derek and Alfred leave and breaks into Derek's room. Craig listens to the tapes and learns Derek is going to kill Mason himself. Mason calls to the CC's to Julia and she gives him the phone number Derek had left with her. Mason calls the number and Derek arranges the meeting for the two of them in the tunnel.
